LOL. I swear every year we go, there are always news reports of alligator or shark attacks. So far, I've managed to survive. It's all the crazy old people that I really am afraid of...
Clever - the college breaks are usually in March. My kids go to Catholic school so the break is always at Easter.
Those too! Where in Florida will you be?
My spring break was always during Easter as well, but with colleges being secular and all that they now put them in March. Mine is always the week before St. Patrick's Day. I realized yesterday that I don't even know when Easter is, because I used to just associate it with break in high school and now I have no reference point.
My parents live in Pompano Beach, which is one town north of Fort Lauderdale. We go every year for two weeks. I have to say, in spite of the plethora of geezers, I love it! Great beach and pool and lots of dinners out!!
I'm sooo jealous! I wanna go to Florida!
Spring break for the kiddies here is the week after Easter too.
Cool (there goes my reading comprehension, since you totally said that a couple pages ago)! One of my best friends lives near Fort Lauderdale as well. Really nice area.
OK, I'm going to Petsmart for real now. Really. Talk to you ladies soon!

Jag, this is a little creepy because I just got back from Petsmart. I had to drop off my puppy to be groomed cuz he was starting to smell a little gamey. :-/
I'm sooo jealous! I wanna go to Florida!
BB, I'm super jealous too!!! It's been forever since I've been to Florida...well Miami at least. Miami is fantastic!!! It's like everyone there was genetically altered or paid to live there simply because they're beautiful. Guys, girls...hell even the dogs and cats are HOT!!!
Much like the others I don't have a Spring Break either but fortunately I have a job that allows me to take off and work from my house when I want to and create my own Spring Break. In fact I'm off from work until Thursday. YAY!!!!
I'm starting to turn green.
I'm so full. I just had chicken cordon bleu, long grain wild rice and broccoli with hollandaise. Geez, could I have been more fattening tonight?
That sounds amazing, Stockard. Wow. If it's any consolation, I'm about to gorge on bagels and cream cheese. Significantly less classy, but even more fattening.

I've actually been craving cream cheese somethin' awful this past week. Maybe because I saw a sinful chocolate cheesecake at the bakery last week. Tonight I only had some Special K and an orange. Hooray for diets....UGH!!!
I'm watching that show Intervention right now on A&E...OMG my mouth is literally hanging open. This show is SO heartbreaking and sad
That sound good, Stockard. I made really healthy spinach salad with a fat free honey dijon dressing.
...and then I ate a whole bag of Pepperidge Farm dark chocolate chunk and pecan cookies!
LOL Clever that's exactly something I would do...and have done.
And good news, I got a callback for Gertrude in Seussical and Ivy in Bare! Hopefully I get something, I hate being in between productions haha
BB, next show you are in I am definitely coming to see you!!!! So, keep me posted.
Tofu, I love Intervention. I just hope no one tries to give ME one. So far, so good.
OMG that'd be AWESOME danmag!
And Maisie, that's pretty cool that you were in Seussical with Bailey!
The local HS is doing Suessical this spring. I think we'll take Henry.
Watching Intervention makes me feel less like I have a problem. LOL
I KNOW STOCKARD!!! That's a little scary...
LOL! I'm like "At least I'm not crashing around the kitchen falling into the appliances!"
GOod afternoon! I am firmly ensconced in my new abode, with a few of my essentials to keep me going until such time as I have enough shelving for the rest of my belongings to travel across.
My essentials apparently include:
- DVDs of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, The King and I, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, Hamlet, Henry V, Othello filmed at Shakespeare's Globe, Office Space, The Orphanage, and the complete Oz.
- Playtexts of Hamlet, Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, and Richard III.
- Different Seasons by Stephen King.
- All of my underwear, half of the rest of my clothes.
- My PC, iPod, and Nintendo DS.
- Some booklets of forthcoming productions to three different theatres.
- Two posters; a map of the world with flags around the edges, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan putting the "hot" in... uh, Watchmen (Whotchmen, maybe? O_O).
- A rug shaped like a fish.
- A cushion shaped like a crab.
- A stuffed shark.
- An alligator glove puppet.
Sadly, still no internet at home, but I fully intend hanging out online at work whenever opportunities present themselves (mostly when my boss isn't here, so this afternoon, occasional lunchtimes, and all day Saturday).
Now I'm packing my own lunches in the mornings, I've stopped having cheese sandwiches and Cadbury's Creme Eggs and now have carrot and cucumber sticks, a pitta bread, a dip, a few squares of super-dark chocolate, an apple, and a banana. I'm pretty sure most people start eating *less* healthily when they are lazy and providing for themselves, so I don't know what's happened there. O_O
I most certainly am missing you all, but I'm keeping myself plenty busy, and it's lovely to see you still going and all seemingly in rather better health than when I saw you last!
Back to my lunch now. :3
We miss you too, Weez! I'm glad you are settled in at your new house.
So my husband took my car into the shop, and after he left I realized my gym bag is in the car. So now I have to wait for him to get back to go to the gym. I did get the floors mopped though.
Weez I'm glad you're enjoying the new house! And I'm assuming you mean the original Oklahoma!, but I really really really hope you mean the filmed London cast with Hugh Jackman I love him.
