I failed my road test today. ARRRRGH!!!! It was a f*cking good road test too, but the damn b!tch failed me anyway. Said one of my left turns was too fast. WTF?!?! Is it ever possible to have a perfect test? This was rediculous.
I AM SO ANGRY!!!!!
I want to hear your stories about how these sewer rats have screwed you over too!

I passed mine. The guy even sang "Happy Birthday" to me while we were driving around.
Wrong time...?

Don't start.
Mine was an uber-b!tch.
I even thought I had passed when we returned to the exam centre. I was feeling good. Then she passes me the fail notice, and I was like, "WTF? You failed me?" And she said coldly, "No, your driving failed you" and stepped out of the car. F*CKING B!TCH!!!

I passed my driver's test on my first time, but I think it was a fluke, and the examiner knew I was nervous as hell. Probably because I had a white-knuckle death grip on the steering wheel, AND I was going literally 20 kilometers per hours because I was so scared of speeding. Every time she asked me to pull over I scratched the curb, and I'm not used to using the emergency brake to park so I drove for half a block with the emergency brake on before I noticed. I couldn't even change lanes because I was so scared of speeding that she actually exclaimed, "It's because you're going at 15!" (kilometres per hours)
I still passed though. I got very, very lucky. It's all about the nerves, love. You know you're good.

But I WAS good! That's the problem!
The first time I failed, it was legit: I turned right on a yellow light, when I should have stopped.
This time, it was a good test!! I don't know how I'm ever going to pass if I failed this one.

Posted: 2/14/05 at 4:39pmIt's weird...after I passed my test, I couldn't drive. I was stil shaking so much I was like "Yay, I have a license, Mommy can you drive?"

My driver's test was a nightmare. (Somehow he passed me). I have a *slight* - let me stress slight - eyeglass perscription and when I got permit I couldn't tell the difference between an "O" and a "D" so I required to wear glasses when I drive. It was more of a hiderence then a help so I never wore it. One year later I am taking my drivers test and he asks why I don't have them on. Thankfully I had them in my car.
After that I failed parellel parking - which I always mastered. stupid cones. The guy had very little patience and I was sure I failed. Then he handed me a "passed" paper. I almost passed out. So nervous.
Also, I think it is always good to go in the morning. They have just gotten there and aren't frustrated by all the *possible* lousy drivers.

I was so petrified when I took mine, but I got some old guy who didn't pay any attention to anything, so I passed.

Posted: 2/14/05 at 4:43pmBlueWizard, I'm sorry. It seems that the DMV likes to hire people who have giant redwoods or larger up their ass's. It seems to be a common trend around.

Posted: 2/14/05 at 4:51pmNo, sounds like I'd rather get the DMV. In Ontario, it's some other stupid privatized company. And it's not just one road test, there are two: a G2 (standard road test, no highway) and then the G test (highways/freeways). It's stupid, I proved I could drive already by passing the G2 test, this is rediculous.

Posted: 2/14/05 at 5:12pmHeh. I passed my test pretty easily, but it's an easy test where I lived at the time. Anyway, I'm eternally grateful I didn't take the test in Israel when my parents did- the stories they tell about trying to come out of parking in reverse uphill with manual shift give me nightmares just thinking about it.

Posted: 2/14/05 at 5:52pmThats horrible. I passed my test on the first time. I messed up on the first turn and the guy told me about it in the middle of the test, so the next turn I was a lot more careful and made sure I did it right.

Posted: 2/14/05 at 5:56pmI also passed the first time, but I had a disgruntled Australian man for an examiner. Someone had told me that the examiners try to trick you by not putting on their seatbelts and failing you if you don't call them on it, so I said "Got your seatbelt on?" He didn't say anything, so I immediately felt like a moron. Then, I put the car in drive and he snapped, "I didn't till you to do thet!" The rest of the test consisted of him barking, "Mike a lehft heeya!" "Pahk heeya!" "Mike a roight!"

Posted: 2/14/05 at 9:00pmHeh heh heh...mine was notorius for being a b*itch...but she was actually really nice to me...she even started telling me about funny stories and such...and she helped me pull a prank on my mom. We just sat in the car for like, 5 mintues after I was done and then she actually got a second test and filled it out like I failed it...then I came in all "upset" and she comes in and tells my mom that I shouldn't be allowed in a car, blah blah blah...it was SOOOooooo funny. my mom was freaking out untill the lady busted out laughing. Then apparently at our DMV they clap for you when you get your licence. That was cool.

Posted: 2/14/05 at 9:12pmI have never been so nervous in my life! The driver's test is the worst. Thankfully, the lady I had was very nice. I heard another one at the same place was really mean. During the test, her cell phone actually rang and she was talking on it while I was driving. At the end she was like, "well since it was my cell phone you automatically pass. not really, but you passes anyway." It was funny. I actually knocked over a cone parallel parking though. Oops.

Posted: 2/14/05 at 9:13pmI had a perfect test, but failed because it was pouring rain and I was too nervous to fiddle with my defroster and my windows got a little foggy (I could still see) and the instructor gave me an automatic fail after saying I'm one of the best drivers she has seen.

The DMVs in my area are completely incompetent. At the place that I went to, there were 4 lanes and 3 examiners (it's a course test). Problem was, they kept "accidently" skipping over lane 3 (where I was in) because they assumed the others had taken cars already.
I had to wait in line for 3 hours in 95+ degree August heat before I took my driver's test the first time. We had to remain in our cars while we waited, but we weren't allowed to leave our engines running while we waited in line (bad for the ozone), so we couldn't run the air conditioning.
Then, some woman in the lane next to us starting complaining to the exam people that she and her daughter had been waiting for almost a 45 minutes. My mom (who's usually an incredibly patient children's librarian) turns to her and says "SHUT UP! We have been here for 3 hours, so you can just wait your turn like the rest of us!"
The woman didn't say anything else, but examiners realized they had been skipping our lane, so they started taking people from there. By the time I took my test, I was damn-near heatstroke, so clearly I couldn't parallel park in under 2 minutes. I went back a few months later and passed with flying colors.
Don't get me started on the permit test- the computer I used was so old that the buttons didn't work, so you could never push B even if B was the correct answer. I complained to the people, but they were just like "Oh well."

Posted: 7/27/21 at 9:35pmI know exactly how you fail today in newyork I took my 4th road test last July I took my first one i failed by 15 points with a score of 45 because I tapped the curb on Paralell Park in Yonkers ny. the next one I got 50 points and then I got 65 2 weeks later but I took one today time 4 in Yonkers again the lady was nice but she told me look to pull out I did she supposedly hit the break. she let me do the whole test only commented on speed and lanes but she gave me 120 points I paired perfectly and did a perfect 3 point turn she did not comment on my breaking but told gave me abrupt breaking and said I had done all these things I did not do she was a new hired inspector too what a bitch. the first time the guy when I missed a left turn made a fist slammed the door and yelled at me you better listen to me but got the best score with him

I failed 4 times--couldn't be bothered learning the road laws--my driving was OK but how many meters from a fire hydrant??- who GsAF. Anyway been driving now for 58 years, and still don't know. My Mother drove till she was 92 when she wanted to renew her license for another 10 years. I said NO and sold her car. She got a speeding ticket at 90 but never had an accident. Mum died peacefully at 101 and I am sure that she got herself another car !!!

I passed with flying colors the first time. Yet to this day, years and years later, I have never attempted to parallel park again. If I am driving and the only parking space is to parallel park, I just don't park and keep on driving.
