"Something needs to be done about thyroid issues"
I'm pretty sure things have been done about thyroid issues. I once was misdiagnosed with a slow thyroid also and at the time, my physician, who by the way is among the top in NYC, said medication in the form of a pill is very effective. How bad is your thyroid condition?

Core, I am sorry about your thyroid. I was not commenting on the cause of your being overweight only on the fact that you told someone who is hurt by being teased about their weight not to let it bother them when in the past you have threatened to sue someone because of an unflattering picture that made you look a bit chubby. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy.

Nah, there's an even better way to deal w/ those kinds of comments instead of just ignoring it or not letting it get to you.
If anyone ever called me fat/overweight, including myself for the purpose of a story(if I just say I'm fat I immediately get from my friends no you're not and I'm like I'm just trying to tell a story)...anyway here's what you say/do:
You know what, you're right. The truth is...

Sing: I have a big butt and I cannot lie
You other brothers can't deny!
Best way to handle the situation. You end up feeling better, and if the person who's trying to be mean or condescending sees it doesn't bother you or make a dent, there purpose of saying anything will be gone.

This is not something to joke about. Making fun of me or others weight is not constructive. Do you realize the damage you can cause. Is it funny to be a bully or is it cruel?

It's because people are too stupid to come up with any type of insult that actually MEANS something soo they just say the first thing they can think of - and most of the time, the things people insult about other people are really just the things they hate about themselves.
But I'm the same way - maybe I should practice what I preach, eh?
