I Just Got Bad Family News

I just found out one of my sisters has lung & brain cancer & is living in a hospice

We grew apart over the years but it still feels like a punch in the gut.

My niece tells me the hope is the brain cancer overtakes her in her sleep as it is not painful like lung cancer is.

I am still trying to digest it all.

My niece told me that my sister will be creamated. She has a sense of humor. My father was a truck driver & my sister never got to go anywhere (fear of treaveling). She will travel in death as one of her wishes is that her ashes be given to various independent truck drivers who criss cross the country

If you have anyone in your family you are not speaking to, make up before it is to late to do so.

Roxy, have you spoken with your sister since you found out?

She certainly does sound like she has a great sense of humour. I love the idea of her travelling around the country.

Oh Roxy, that breaks my heart. But I'm glad you will be able to tell her in a letter all of the things that are in your heart. I'm sure it will mean the world to her.
