sorry to hear this Roxy, our thoughts are with you
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

I hope that her remaining time is comfortable. I enjoyed the story about her remains. It sounds like she is in a 'good place' with all of this.
I hope you are able to have the connection with her that you've been missing, now that this has come to pass.

Mr Roxy...sad news indeed. BUT, just think of the blessing God has given you to find out BEFORE she passes on, and can still communicate to her the many things you want to say. This will give you some comforting closure...

I'm really very sorry Mr. Roxy. I was in a similar situation last winter. My grandma was diagnosed with brain cancer last November and unfortunately ended up dying just before Christmas. It was a really painful experience. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I know it's a very difficult time.

I lit a candle for her today & hope that the end is painless & that she goes in her sleep without suffering.

I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen this scenario. But u do have a chance to bring things to a certain amount of closure. If there is a service, try to attend and tell stories( not tales!) about your sister. It usually helps to share those moments w others who may learn a whole knew side of the individual. And let us all learn from this- Let not the sun go down upon your wrath in case there is no rising on the morrow.
