I don't say it as often as I'd like to the bf, but I say it every time with family and a fw friends...but I'm with orangeskittles (as I usually am) that I don't say it unless I REALLY mean it.

I never say it to my family. Sometimes I wish I did. I don't have a bad relationship with them or anything, we just never started saying it. I often say it to my friends though. I only think it means something if you want it to. Saying "I love you" to my mom, wouldn't make me love her anymore. It can be reasuring to hear every once in awhile though.

All the time to strangers; Shopkeepers; tramps; barbers; almost anyone, really. Use it in place of 'thank you' and see how you get on.

I say it to my parents, grandparents (the ones i'm close with at least), sometimes sibling (rarely). I say it to some close friends not like that but just they've been there for me and are so close they are like sisters. I do say it regularly though.

I say "I Love You" to my family and friends after every conversation
