I Need Some Real Advice

Just sic those pesky kooky, in your face, fake outrage, Times Sq. Hasidim at this person...he'll' be running for sure...nothing more terrifiying than yarmulke wearing screaming extreme dweebs. Good luck....

On a serious note, even though I enjoyed reading Jordan and Growl's banter, washing your dog more frequently and using the wipes on her /his fur, can't be good for the skin. Don't they have a lot of alcohol in them and can dry out the skin? Wouldn't think that would be healthy for his/her coat. I use wipes on my hands excessively, and at times my skin will dry out and peel, around my fingers. I maybe wrong, jut putting that suggestion out. Also, if they are alcohol free, there maybe some chemicals in them that are not good for the fur/skin.

I use baby wipes. My vet said they were perfectly fine to use on him as long as I didn't use the ones with aloe.

Aloe can be irritating for French Bulldogs, so I was just advised against it.

And I'll have to pick up a bottle of that stuff!! Thanks!

I wouldn't buy it from Kiel's though.

I found out, with my BUYCOTT application that they donate a lot of money to the no GMO labeling campaigns.

So, no more Kiel's for me!

Jordan, I don't have a dog and I don't have an answer to your dilemma.

I just want to say how much I admire you for wrestling with the problem.

Aww, a homeless vet touches your dog and you get all upset that you might have to wash your dog, oh boo hoo for you.

Did you stop once to think what that man went through foe YOU, for ALL OF YOU? Any idea what he may have been forced to touch as a Vet, and how often he wished he could wash it off.

And you, Byron....turn the hose on him. Talk about insensitive.
Did any of you even mentioning the fact that quite possibly what he is going through is worse than what you can imagine? I've read every post, and no one...NO ONE mentioned anything like that. Did you thank him for his service, Jordan? Probably not.

I am a Veteran. I have seen many people come back that are not cared for, and end up on the streets.I WOULD NEVER, EVER not allow a homeless Vet to touch a dog if I owned one. Who else can they touch.

Sorry, but this thread disgusts me...maybe I am just a bit too close to the subject.

Thank the man for his service if you ever see him again, and let him touch your damn dog. It could be the only happy moment he has that day.

EXCUSE THE F*CK OUT OF ME? Yeah, maybe you are a little too "close to the subject". Maybe you should step back, read my actual concerns and why I addressed them and chill the F*CK out.

I kinda thought my therapy dog (whose daddy is a veteran) post suggested a different way of looking at things, which was something Jordan had thought of
