Wow, blast from the past. The scary thing is I remembered the stick of butter before I clicked on the link.
I remember this :)
I still have distinct memories of these:

Mister Matt- what a random thread! What made you think of this?
I stumbled on Electric Company clip on Youtube and I have ALWAYS remembered this clip from Sesame Street, so I decided to see if I could find it. LOL My brother and I used to strut around the living room when we were little pretending we were a little black girl going to the store! I think I identified with that clip so much because I spent my first three years of school in all black schools, so all my friends were African American. It was very intimidating for me when we moved to the suburbs.
I also liked this one.
Snow Day
I remember the crayons, the milk, and the snow.
This one has always stuck with me. When I was little I used to say froggy instead of foggy. So my mom used to sing "It's a froggy day" to the tune of this

Wow....I didn't even know I knew these! Thanks for the blast from the past!!
Eris -- my eldest also called it Froggy out (foggy out) She also use to say it was "snowman out" instead of snowing out.
Yes, me and my llama. I sent the link to the "Rainy Day" one to my mom and when we spoke she mentioned Me and my llama.
How about one of the songs that was banned from Sesame Street? "I Want a Monster to be my Friend"!
>>"snowman out" instead of snowing out
That is the cutest thing I've ever heard.
I Want A Monster To Be My Friend
JG, I loved that song when I was little. I always liked how it changed from sweet to brassy. I guess my musical theatre senses were already growing back then lol
But it was banned because parents complained it promoted pedifilia. When I was little I just figured it was about the monsters on the show (of which there were many). I'd have to think most kids thought the same thing.
