Dottie, my sister reminded me of my grandma's funeral (100yrs) when my shoes were too new and slippery to carry her.
I scuffed the hell out of them in the parking lot of the church so I wouldn't drop her.
'Cause I had fallen in front of the casket saying 'good-bye'.
I'm telling you, this is my comic life.
"Why did the monkey fall out of the tree?"
"'Cause it's dead!"
It will be on my tombstone...

My grandmother was 105. The whole time I was praying, please don't let me drop her!! I swear, those things are heavy.
I don't know how I would have handled what happened to you. I really don't!! I think I would have been freaked out.

ME TOO!!! *just don't drop, just don't drop--maybe they won't notice the shoes...*
Well, I didn't drop her (my Grandma).
Just got dropped upon (by Neighbor/Friend).
Payback is a bitch...and I think both our Grandma's are giggggggggling. (how can you not!)

Thick head AND dead weight.
(I really did love her, but she did have a thick head, in all respects...)
this is actually making me feel better. Thanks.

Did she belong to the Christian right ? or perhaps voted Republican ? That would explain a lot

Actually, she was Jewish and that explains nothing. Except that she wouldn't eat my jambalaya...
She was what she was, and I now miss her for her being who she was.
She did enjoy my music. And my photography. And my artistic sense.
She most certainly liked our time together. Except for my TV noise, maybe...
*sigh*

Oh good Lord! What a thread jack. Really. However, greekmusicalfan, your avatar....wow. Tom, your poor neighbor. But damn...that avatar. And the Heath/ironic post from Namo.
I'm tossed with this thread. Not sure what I feel now.
