I can't believe this. I went to bed at 12:30 and woke up at 4 and CANNOT get back to sleep. I've read, I've watched Cosby re-runs at Nick at Night, I played solitaire on the computer and started to doze but as soon as I stood up I was wide awake.
I don't have to work today but I don't want to spend the day napping because I couldn't sleep because I'll be wideawake at bedtime.
Isn't anyone else up at this hour???

I don't sleep at all any more on the nights before a workday - and my workdays are 17 hours long.
It's becoming quite frustrating, and rather unhealthy.
I just got finished watching Calamity Jane. Now I am sorting through pictures and just found all the pictures of my groups from camp last summer. God I miss that place!

I'm up. I have a sleeping disorder so I basically decided to stay up the night.

yeah, lol... especially when I feel better not sleeping, as opposed to getting the normal 8 hrs.
Hah...I think I'm going to head to bed now...it's 6 AM for me. Oh well...

When I'm worried and I can't sleep,
I count my blessings instead of sheep,
And I fall asleep, counting my blessings.
When my bankroll is getting small,
I think of when I had none at all,
And I fall asleep, counting my blessings.
PJ, I use that as my away message when I go to bed.
That song always puts me to sleep...probably because my mom used to sing it to me as a lullaby. Or because it's increadibly boring. One of the two :)
So, after sleeping maybe 2-3 hours last night, I got up, got ready for work, and went to my Metro-North platform. When the train was 10 minutes late, I realized they must be running on a holiday schedule, so I called my boss to let him know I'd be late.
By now I'm very cranky. Then I get on the train, and it's PACKED. No seats. Perhaps they should have thought about running on a regular schedule at least for rush hour, but whatever.
We pull in to Grand Central and my phone rings - it's my boss. "Are you on the train yet?" "Yes, we just pulled in."
"Sh*t." Turns out, they decided not to open the location I was supposed to work at today.
I hate 2006.

Can't sleep? Go to Corine's Corner. You'll doze off after reading any one of Corine's probing and in-depth articles.
I find that whenever I can't sleep, a few great slugs of bourbon (or vodka, or gin, or tequila, or Lillet, or Grand Marnier, or rum, or any of the other pretty little bottles who live on my bedside table...) helps greatly

Ahem....do we need a lecture on the Perils of Alcohol?
It's only perilous if you run out of it.

Naughty, naughty. You've seen how alcohol ruined the lives of so many people on these boards.
