I don't think Annette is going to pull it out. HOWEVER, I think she will be richly rewarded for her upcoming role as the mother in RUNNING WITH SCISSORS.

If not Bening, then possibly Staunton. I hope the Academy actually saw "Vera Drake'.

Or maybe even Winslet... This category is up for grabs, as are the supporting categories.

I am praying that Swank & Benning will split the academy & Imelda will get the award she truly deserves. ( tho she prob won't work again cos people will think she's too expensive! LOL!)

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is SO looked over! Kate deserves it all the way, but I know she will not win...it's rare that the actress that deserves it most actually wins.

Timing, timing. The current right wing backlash against BABY may help it in every category, including Hilliary's. Hollywood will love to circle it with love and support and embrace its artistic collaborators, Michael Medved's comments on its "left wing agenda" be damned.

The correct answer here is IMELDA STAUNTON! She turned in one of the most brilliant and heartwreching performances I have ever seen.
