and just the name "crockpot classic"....I mean the point of a crockpot is FRESH, meat, veggies, whatever....somehow "almost instant" crockpot stuff sounds sickening

Me and my family!! Those commercials are my absolute favorite!! Our new family sayhing is "pie with chips, for FREE!"

I'll second the Head-On commercial. I don't even know what the hell it does or why I should apply it DIRECTLY to the forehead! I also hate HATE Sunsilk commercials "girls and their hair - TALK about problems!" just, ewww. The Sunsilk website is even woirse with a panal of creepy gay men obsessing with making your hair look good.

1. The Audrey Hepburn Gap commercials. Everytime I hear her say "I rather feel like dancing now..." I have to change the channel. Poor woman must be spinning in her grave.

2. The commercials for Lean Cuisine frozen meals where women seem to have orgasms everytime they take a bite. I've had those meals before, the don't look that good and they definately don't taste that great. I'm always hungry afterwards too.

3. Any commercial for a tampon gives me the willies.

Add me to the list of those are seriously disturbed by the car crash commercials.

How about the Girls Gone Wild commercials? Can I please watch Comedy Central after 10pm with out having to see one of those horrible things every commercial break? And it seems like they last an eternity (but maybe that's just me). I'll usually grab the remote and change to anything and I have to wait what seems like a lifetime before I can go back. I HATE them. It's so awkward when you have people over and you're talking and watching tv and one of those ads come on.

Also, the whole genre of those cellfirt, redhot, etc phone/text services. They always show supermodel-like women talking on the phone, promoting the service. Like any of those women actually use those lines.

They may not be all "perfect 10s" but somebody is using those lines. Those ads have always been running, but it seems like the number of different services (and therefore commercials) has shot through the roof recently.

Also, I forgot to add, I'm not the biggest fan of the Miller "Man Laws" commericals.

I don't even remember what car it was for, but there was this series of car commercials with a guy who works for the car company, and a bunch of kids- in one the guy is having to drive everywhere picking up/dropping off the kids at various activities, in another he's running the crash testing and crashes all of the cars based on the colors the kids are yelling out and it ends with they tell him to crash his own car when they run out of cars to crash, etc.

I think the kids were supposed to be cute or something (?), but the only thing I took away from the commercials was "ugh, what brats!"- I remember enough about them to remember that I hated them, yet I couldn't even tell you what car company they were for.

Those were the Dr. Z commercials, and I, too, can't remember what manufacturer they were for. Thank goodness they're not running those anymore. They were obnoxious.

I'm sick of the VW ads. They're just gratuitous now. And have you seen the latest one, with two women discussing the very gratuitousness of the VW spots? I was like "OMG you're breaking the fourth wall!! How daring and original!!" :P
And I find the Secret ads kind of insulting. What, we have nothing better to do in our spare time than tell each other the most banal, contrived "secrets" this side of a greeting card?

I love the Kirstie Alley commercials...I think she's hilarious.

There is one commercial I DETEST...someone please tell me they know what I'm talking about.

It seems to be shown mostly on ABC during the day. It's a REALLY cheap looking commercials for custom made windows. They show a really horrid looking woman opening a window. Then they have one where they are pretending to be in a fire, so they have really dim, cheap orange lights flickering below while she hands her baby to a fireman on a ladder, all the while smiling from ear to ear. It is so bad it's funny.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I miss the cheap commercials from the '70s and '80s. That wart remover one, Lee Press-On Nails, the seventies porn vibe from that old Pocono's commercial.

Munk, I know what one you're talking about. And I hate it.

The one I really hate though is the one for some brand of tampon, I can't remember which. And it starts with a bunch of dancers in white dresses just jumping up and down opening and closing their feet. And the announcer says "Some tampons just open side to side". And then they show some really colorful tampon dancers spinning all around, like I guess good tampons should dance.

I just like to imagine the casting call for that. "So, basically, I need you to dance like a tampon."

Geico seems to be the winner-- I never realized they have three Horriffica campaigns running at once: The Cavemen, the lizard and the grade z-celebrity (Mini Me, Movei Fone guy, Burt Bacharach) are all for GEICO! How much of each premium goes to annoying commericals!??

Speaking of cheapo advertising hall of fame (I believe these were restricted to the tri-state area)...those awful laser hemorrhoid commercials beckoning you to call "1-800-MD-TUSCH!" That was actually the doctor's name. I think he lost his license because he was having office assistants performing surgeries and people were harmed.
