I've had to wear uniforms since I first started school, and I used to hate it, but now I've realised that it's brilliant. You don't have to think of things to wear and it helps make everyone equal(although I've never understood how some people look better in uniforms than others). Next year we get to wear mufti(normal clothes) and I'm dreading it, cos I know that it's gonna turn into a 'who has the coolest clothes' contest.

When I was in elementary school, wearing uniforms sounded like a death sentence. But then in middle school, I made a lot of friends that went to various nearby private schools that had uniforms and realized how cute they were. And after school at the mall and such, they always looked so much nicer than the girls that showed up in their tube tops and two-sizes-too-small jeans, and definitely got more respect from adults because of it.
