...and I blame the "favorite candy" thread.
Just thought I'd share my shame.
What the heck is a Toblerone?

Thank you spidey. I didn't ask because I thought I'd be the only one that didn't know.

You're kidding, right? I've been eating these things for over 20 years! Delicious Swiss chocolate with nougat!

Um...and the problem is?

lol, papa... You're right...I could eat more, but don't forget about the little red dress I have to wear! :-P
Oh, okay! I know what they are now. I just couldn't recognize the name. But, I have never had them before.

Well, robbiej, the caloric intake for this little indulgence of mine came to 520. Yeah, 520 calories in one fell swoop. And more than 50% fat. (And that's why it tastes so good!)
Let me be the first to congratulate you!

That's okay.
I bought over half a pound of dark chocolate almond bark (about $14!) at LiLac chocolatiers in Grand Central today and ate half before I got to the subway.
If you want to eat goodies without guilt try the chocolate mint Zone bars or the Chocolate Crisp South Beach meal replacement bars--delicious.

Thanks, Jane2!
Nom: Thanks for understanding, for sharing your personal chocolate-indulgence story, and thanks for the tip, too. I'll look into those. (Although I somehow doubt they'll be equal in deliciousness to my beloved Toblerone!)
Erika--Toblerone got PalJoey'sPal and I through the Ring Cycle at the Met last year.
It goes very well with overpriced cheap Champagne from a concessions stand.

I always have more than just a little toblerone at home . And I don't think your little red dress will suffer.
Wait.
I'm still totally unclear as to the problem.
Did it taste good? Did you, like Piper Laurie in CARRIE, like it?
Heh, at first glance, I thought you meant T-Bone.
Honestly, I've never heard of Toblerone, either. Then again, I don't have much of a sweet tooth, anyway.
oh I have to get you people off the Toblerone and onto the good Belgian stuff.....

Hey, Elphaba, if you want to hook a girl up, feel free.
PalJoey: I can definitely see how the Toberlone and cheap champagne combo could work quite well.
robbiej: Ah liked it... Ah LIKED it!
FranklinShepard-Inc.: I fear if I kept it in the house on a regular basis, I'd eat it every single day. :-P And thanks, I hope you're right about the dress! hehehe
SM2: Well, you don't know what you're missing.

Sort of pales in comparrison with the pint of Ben&Jerry's Vermonty Python I just inhaled.
That's okay. I just spent $200 on a dress. But boy, do I look good in it.

Rose_MacShane: To loosely quote papa, "Only $200? Friggin' amateur!" Congrats; I'm sure you look lovely in it. Is it for a special occasion?

Oh! And DG: Wow. That is all.
This thread reminds me of when I saw Blue Man's Group, one of the Blue Men took a Toblerone from one audience member, handed it to young boy, and had the boy throw pieces of toblerone into his mouth.
HIlarious. That's on ingenious way to steal an audience member's Toblerone...
