I just bought Adam Pascal's Civilian at a New Jersey Library for 10 cents...

And I'm loving it.
I wouldn't have bought it otherwise, but how could I pass up a 10 cent cd? I'm not crazy about his voice in Rent, but, what I love about this cd is his "Classical Rock" sound, not only with his music, but also his voice.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Gee, I wish my library had quality stuff that cheap! Their used books, movies, etc. section usually consists of 50 year old encyclopedias, 10 year old SAT practice books, and those generic Sleeping Beauty-type cartoons that they usually sell at Buck a Book!
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

The only other cd they had was a Puccinni opera. Bought that one, too. I'm a sucker for cheap cd's and books. I can spend hours look at the Clearance cd's in a store...

Sounds like what I did with Frances Ruffelle. Saw her cd at Colony for about 60 bucks. Thought i couldn't get it anywhere else. 4 years later, it's at Tower for 15.

Well, actually, it was an accident. I bought it for thirteen from amazon.com, paid seven for S&H, then they sent the credit card bills to my college while I was home for the winter. Missed two payments, and now it's an incredibly high bill.

At least it's a good cd...

Now that I've recovered (slightly) from Justice's '10 cents' and Lael's '80 bucks'... (I paid normal price, by the way): glad you liked it, Justice. I love his voice in just about everything he's done, but he's absolutely beautiful to listen to in CIVILIAN. Some of the arrangements there are great as well. The musicians did a great job.

yay another fan!!!
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Jeez. That's random... it like.. just came out.

But in any case, you deserve a HUGE YAY!!!!!!!
I paid $45, but that's because I'm responsible for the purchase of... three. Because I'm a geek.

I'm so glad you like it.
