I was totally a Blue Bell boy! I looked forward to the seasonal peppermint ice cream, though I could eat an entire half-gallon of Chocolate Decadence in one sitting.

I had higher metabolism then.

Oh, I love the decadence.

My mom used to keep about 20-30 half gallon cartons of Blue Bell (one of almost every flavor she could find) in her freezers. No exaggeration. After Hurricane Ike, they lost power for about a week and they were all ruined. My sister (who threw out the cartons for her) told her to stop hoarding it, but last time I visited, it was starting to come back.

I don't like ice cream (yes, I'm crazy), but I will eat Graeter's chocolate chip cookie dough. The only other kind I'll have is from a local place called Cook's Farm Dairy (not dairy farm!), about 15 minutes from my house in Michigan. It's all done right on the farm, and their mint chocolate chip is the only ice cream I truly like. Delicious.

You're all crazy. There is only one great ice cream. It's call Bassetts, and is the oldest in the United States. Nothing comes close.
