Well, I was thisclose. The family I live with and work for are taking me with them to Florida on vacation on January 1. Turns out Disney resorts are not pet friendly. I could board the puppy at Disneyworld really inexpensively, but I don't know that I could do that to the puppy three weeks after I get it. And I don't want the poor thing to have to fly three times in the first month that I have it. Plus, with a child with autism in tow, I think a puppy would just be too much of an inconvenience for all of us. It really breaks my heart. If they hadn't already booked the vacation, I would just stay home. Oh well. Maybe I will be able to get her later. :/

Aww. But you could always do it when you get back from your trip. Besides, cold winter months are not the time you want to be housebreaking a puppy.

I have a tiny dog named lily too! Mine is a Miniature Pinscher...ok to be fair she is my roomate's and occasionally I hate her. But lately we have been getting along really well and she has been behaving.

Well, Akiva, the dog is cute in the second picture anyway. She's pretty fierce in the first one! Miss Holly would like Lily--they could bare their teeth at each other and pretend to be tough girls.

JG, you're right about not flying the puppy to Disney World. When the time is right, the dog will come into your life.

They just bought a new HUGE home and she has been under a lot of stress. I didn't want to ask her. Then when I was talking about it tonight she said she would LOVE to do it. The she said, "brb." (We were online.) She said, "Hubby said yes! Get her if you can!" lol She is so sweet.

Of course, the one my mom wanted to get was sold yesterday. I told her that I am more than willing to wait until I find exactly what I want. The right one will find me. I am looking for a little girl, smooth coat, around 10-12 weeks so she has a stronger immune system. If I have to wait a couple of months for her that is fine. It's just nice to know that my BFF will sit if I find her sooner.

OMG! She is so sweet! I am soo glad you got her and she's a black one... I had one like her with my ex--her name is Po. My grandmother had two, Bugs and Beulah and then a red one named Gretchen. We also had Wrinkles when i wa a kid and then Buddy and now Barney! Lots o' dachs....
