Posted: 12/10/06 at 9:44pmI agree totally about a L&O channel. I feel so weird when an episode isn't on at least 1 channel!! Sunday's always consist of Football (NASCAR when in season) and L&O on Bravo.

"Meet MTV's modern-day odd couple as the network premieres "Rob & Big," a new reality comedy series starring professional street skateboarder, Rob Dyrdek and his bodyguard and best friend, Christopher "Big Black" Boykin, along with their talented pup, Meaty.
"Rob & Big" is created by Jeff Tremaine, one of the creators of MTV's "Jackass" and "Wildboyz" series, as well as both "Jackass" movies. The show premieres tonight, Thursday, November 2nd at 10:30PM (ET/PT)Check out their official site and meaty's official myspace page.
MTV showcases the unpredictable daily lives of this unlikely duo living together in Rob's Hollywood Hills home where they experience the craziness of domestic life."
'The Crazyness of domestic life' is code for "Two stoners sit around talking on their cell phones"

I was too old for MTV by the time I was 19. I haven't watched The Real World since the Seattle season.
I loves me some VH1, though.

Posted: 12/10/06 at 11:18pmI didn't even watch MTV when I was the right age for it. I saw some Daria, but that was it. The rest seemed to have about as much of a relationship to my (extremely geeky) life as transmissions from another planet.

Daria was always my favorite MTV show too. My friends always said I reminded them of her. Now I prefer the stupidity of VH1- like Celebrity Fit Club, SuperGroup, Hogan Knows Best...
I dont know nor care about half the people on MTV.

Posted: 12/10/06 at 11:40pmI haven't watched MTV since that cartoon with the guy who had a huge brain for his head, and there were other weird characters too. It was a good show, aired a while ago. Anyone else remember that show? Daria was good too.

Joe Darling...
Why are you so shocked? MTV has been crappy since it started. I've never watched it because they played whatever they wanted. I'd rather listen to what I want to hear.

The only time I watch MTV is when I'm extremely bored and nothing else is on. For some reason, they have "Next" marathons at 3 in the morning. Surprisingly, that's my favorite show of theirs - because of the silly introductions for everyone, the lame set-ups/dates, and just the overall pathetic nature of the contenders. It's a good self esteem boosting show. It's like "I may not be having a good day... but at least I'm not like those losers on Next!"
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables

Posted: 12/11/06 at 9:28am^Exactly! MTV is almost always on in my dorm room, if only to make me feel better about myself. I'm loving this season of the Real World...I get all my aggression out in making fun of Colie and the fact that she does, indeed, call herself Colie. There's nothing better for one's self esteem than watching any given MTV show.

Posted: 12/11/06 at 9:52amI stopped watching MTV on the day that it occurred to me that I could've given birth to most of the people on the TRL countdown.

The last time I watched a whole season of Real World was the Back to NY season. I had a little thing for Lori. I also liked the RW RR Challenge the couple years they did it as a Battle of the Sexes, and Rachel & Veronica pretty much ruled the girls team. They were awesome.
My sister (who is 22) loves Viva La Bam. I don't understand the point of it. But she's weird.
The few times in the last like 5 years that I Tivo'ed TRL because someone I liked was going to be on, I didn't know who 9 out of 10 of the artists were. I am officially too old for MTV.

I had a friend who worked for less than a day at MTV. She coordinated the studio audience of SINGLED OUT, which basically consisted of telling the people who weren't "camera friendly" that they could go home now. She was given the instructions to enter a holding room where the rejected studio audience members were waiting to break the bad news. She opened the door and found that--surprise!--everyone in the room was black.
YAY MTV!!!!

I enjoy my MTV.
I watch Laguna and Super 16 just for a good chuckle.
But my heart lies in "RoadRules/Real World Challenges."
I heart Beth!

Posted: 12/11/06 at 7:18pmI think also that MTV just plain out has compromised it's original intent and integrity. I mean - they traded in Kurt Loder and Martha Quinn for the likes of Ryan Seacrest - what do you expect?
