re: I need a g/f

You can never analyze what's wrong with your own relationship. Honestly, if you want to believe something badly enough, you can.... even if it's the polar opposite from the truth.

re: I need a g/f

See...here's the thing.

Okay, according to society, my BF and I shouldn't be together. Like, at all. Here's why. He's 5 foot 2, and he weighs EXTREMELY little. Honestly, think small, and then drop 20 pounds. Then there's me: 5 foot 6, and "curvy." (Mainstream media's way of telling me I'm overweight.) So we aren't the typical looking couple.

But one time, we're at this party, and we're laying on this couch, and he's absetmindedly stroking me hair...and it was like..."That's so cute!"

I don't know what the point of that story was. Sorry.

Caroline - believe me, that's not the case. :)

Tiff - It's great, and so funny. It really helped me in trying to get over my ex. It's like a massive reality check. And absolutely. When you're in a relationship, you always make excuses when things go wrong and refuse to see what's right in front of you. That's exactly what the book points out.

re: I need a g/f

it's cute when you see an unconventional couple! my ex was 6"3 and probably 150 lbs, and I'm 5"2 and, well, not 150lbs, but not as much of a scrawny ass as him. opposites attract, right?

as for your situation, CQT, it's never easy for a guy to ask a girl out. you should become better friends with her first so she gets to know you too. *sigh* I lovehigh school romances.

re: I need a g/f

Aw, me too, Tiff.

My ex is about six feet tall and blond, while I'm 5'2" and a brunette. People told us we looked weird, but we didn't pay attention. At least I didn't. He was probably lying the whole time, the b*stard.

Monkey, don't worry about that... I think you'd fall out of your seat if I told you all the ways I'm different from the guy I'm seeing.

re: I need a g/f

y'know what you never see-- a gay couple consisting of two fat, tall Chinese guys with blonde hair. that would be quite unconventional!

You could've just said "Y'know what you never see--a tall Chinese guy." Period. Unconventional? Shyeah! :)

Guido, if I lived your side of The Pond I'd be interested!

As it is, any other Englanders on here interested in a 21 year-old slim redhead with a self-esteem complex?

"This single stuff is ridiculous. "

Tell me about it! And doesn't it seem like, when you're single, suddenly you're sorting out everyone else's lovelives?!? Like they're all running to you for advice and you think "Hey, have you never wondered why I'm single?!?"?

Or is that just me?

re: I need a g/f

OMG I do that all the time ITM. My friends are always asking me why their relationships aren't working, and there have been times when I have said something like "If I wasn't single I'd know, but until then don't ask me."

call it bitter, but dammit I've got a right to be. 14 months is a long time.
