re: I need a g/f

I've been the shoulder to cry on for ALL of my mates when they have man trouble (unwanted attention, no attention, want to split up with boyf, split up with boyf & depressed - the lot). For some strange reason, though, they are unable to provide the counselling service when I've been dumped!

The last time, I was dumped the day we were celebrating my birthday, and my mate who was had come over to cheer me up spent the entire time in floods of tears cos the bloke she fancies has a girlf! Gee, thanks!

Guess the trouble is I psychoanalyse a lot so when they want to know "why" I'm the first person they come to (plus a lot of my mates are younger than me so for some strange reason think I am more knowledgeable). Plus I make excellent cups of tea.

re: I need a g/f

You know, at first I was kidding about being your "sock", but now I'm not sure...I think it's reality!

And the thing is it's not just romance problems. It's any problems. I'm always there for people and am totally unappreciated. It's not that I mind going out of my way to help, I just want to know that they'll be there for me in return! I psychoanalyze a lot. My ex boyfriend and my ex-best friend (ex, because after she told me this, she started dating my ex-bf) always said, "Tiff, you think too much. Stop. Thinking. So. Much." It's part of my "Type A" personality - my mind's always racing!

Not healthy.

re: I need a g/f

i used to be the person everybody always went to to talk and i knew everything about everyone, but i'm not anymore for some reason and i kind of miss it. i'm a good listener and i actually enjoy listening to other ppl and i kind of feel hurt (not hurt, but a lesser degree of that) that ppl don't come to me anymore. it's weird b/c i'm friendly w/ a ton of ppl but only a certain number of good friends...and i don't how i just starting typing my life's story, sorry, anyway, back on topic...i wish there was a permanenant place where we (meaning all board users/ppl w/ theater interests) could go and hang out and meet ppl. it'd be awesome to meet lots of other ppl who follow theater (i'm about the most knowledgable one in my grade and i know a decent amount but not nearly as much some people do) and it could be a dating place/place to meet ppl w/ a similar interest - that'd be awesome

I totally agree. Too bad we're scattered everywhere! This off-topic board makes me want to go out for mojitos/diet pepsis with everyone! It seems like we all need it!

Guido, Canadian girls are hot stuff, as Tiff and I discussed! Plus Canada is just, way cooler, anyway! lol.
I love you Americans. You should all move to Canada re: I need a g/f. But leave Bush behind.

We should have a group exclusively for straight people. We can all go hunting!!

Whoops, I just described the NRA.

I love Canadian girls, I wish there were more of them in the States. i'm not at all surprised you all would rather stay up there than migrate to the south, especially those who live around the main cities. But believe me, the LAST thing Canada needs is a bunch of Americans moving up there and messing it up like we did down here. well maybe Quebec's got it coming.

re: I need a g/f

ah! smart choice, Judy! this is not a culture of good houseguests, if history is any indication. theatre people are generally harmless though. the worst thing we'd bring into Canada is a bunch of bad one-person shows and cabaret acts. Maybe we can have that BroadwayWorld singles convention up there!

Quick Canada question: were people really that upset at Conan O'Brien or was it blown out of proportion?

Also, who the hell does Quebec think it is?

You are much much more than you realize. think on that one for awhile and take all thoughts of eo out of it and you'll understand. I think Matt's advice of quit looking for love and it will come to you is so true. I am not currently looking. (Though I do flirt quite a bit which isn't good.) I know I will find someone someday, maybe soon but I am not going to sit here and hold my breath. It will come in it's own time.

re: I need a g/f

Broadway Matt - The Conan O'Brien thing was blown way outta proportion. The media coverage afterward focused on what the politicians were saying to condemn it more than the actual comments themselves. Frankly, I think the other 11 provinces and 2 territories were (not so) secretly snickering. Hell, I'd go so far as to say that even the government officials who denounced Conan's comments probably got a kick out of it too, but just couldn't say as much. The only people who took offense were the Quebecois.

As for who does Quebec think it is...Who the hell cares, is my answer. We all know what the rest of Canada thinks. (Que-est ce que le mot anglais pour le merde?)

In their defense, I've heard Montreal is a very beautiful city.

midtown, there are a few. There are a few.
As for Conan- QC was pissed. The rest of Canada laughed. Actually, that's the way most of Canadian history goes. Conan was just following suit.
Montreal is gorgeous but if you're not wearing Dolce and Gabbana you'd better stay away. Very haute coture, which is fun for about two days, until you run out of things to wear!
AAAAAND they're *generally* pissy to people who don't speak French. They're mostly bilingual there. But on a recent trip we got lost, and I asked for directions to Rue Ste Catherine (the most popular street in Montreal) and I had TWO Montrealers tell me they didn't know where it was!! F*CKERS!

Midtown-
I'm straight, is there something wrong with that. You and yours show off your sexuality all the time on this board and when someone who is attracted to something different than you comes along you get mad at them.
