Why aren't these guys in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...why haven't they received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award?
The intricate harmonies and melodies bobbing and weaving between these 5 individuals is OUTSTANDING!!!
I don't know why they have not received the credit and ackowledgement they so deserve....

I like the hits a lot and some of their more obscure stuff, like Orange Air, Paper Cup, Love's Lines, Angles, and Rhymes ...
and of course, Living Together, Growing Together from Lost Horizon! 
One of my favorite groups ever.

Yes Besty! Aside from the familiar hit songs, a lot of their b-sides and album cuts are excellent. I've been listening to their 1967 album "The Magic Garden" which was really ahead of it's time. It was a concept album and 12 of it's 11 songs were composed by Jimmy Webb. It was inspired by Webb's failed relationship with an ex-girlfriend. The only song included that was not a Webb composition was a cover of The Beatles' "Ticket to Ride".
There is no gap between the songs, they flow right into one another and this is the album where "Orange Air" and "Paper Cup" come from. Some other highlights from the album are "Summer's Daughter", "Carpet Man", "The Girls' Song", "Requiem 420: Latham" and "The Worse That Could Happen", which became a hit later in the year when it was covered by another group, The Brooklyn Bridge.
This album tanked back in the day, maybe The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper" and that it was too ahead of it's time had something to do with it. 3 singles were released from it: "Paper Cup" reached 34 in 1967, "Carpet Man" reached 29 in 1969 and "The Girls' Song" reached 43 but for some strange reason was released in 1969, a full two years after the album was released.
The album as a whole is worth a listen and from what I've been reading music critics and enthusiasts consider it a long lost classic.

Still my all-time favorite group of the 1960s next to The Beatles, The Supremes, The Doors and The Rolling Stones....dig Miss Marilyn McCoo's silver go-go boots!
