Whenever he's singing, it looks to me like he just might drop the mic and punch the camera guy. He's intense.

But we all have our skeletons. I skimmed this yesterday, and throwing a phone at someone is hardly pushing a pregnant girl down the stairs. Not that I'm advocating domestic violence, at all... but I've thrown crap at people before. Most notably snowballs.

I just can't believe any woman would want to carry his spawn. I just loathe him. I can picture him in the remake of Deliverance. "You shore got a purty mouth, boy....squeal like a pig!"

I agree with Mr. Keaton. The bigger question, I think, is about who should be allowed to enter the hallowed halls of show business, where only saintly behavior, following the 10 commandments, and refusing all toxic substances is required to succeed. Yeah, right. Surely IDOL is about finding talent, giving it a chance, and then letting the market determine its future. The audience can decide if someone's sis/mistakes should impact on record sales.

We live in a world of imperfect people, a significant percentage of them -- gasp -- end up as performers (and politicians, but that's another topic). If we suddenly require spotless pasts to simply get up on a stage and wail, look out. (That said, he ain't my idol. But it has zippo to do with his behavior toward significant others...)

Well, not to mention the fact that his singing is cringeworthy, IMHO (re: "dumping the loser")

As Ckeaton infers above, however, the precedent has been set: Another contestant was banished for VERY similar behaviour. I would hope that the youngsters wouldn't want to elect a convicted abuser as the "American Idol" but a glimpse at the Pop Charts shows that to be a false hope.

Does this mean he's off the show????

Also(to quote a play) "I didn't know you had a son?"

If IDOL kept the fluff pieces that they showed during the previous seasons maybe we could get a better insight into who these people are.........................I HATE that they took them out.....

Actually,
Two years ago, (season 2) Corey Clark was thrown off the show because of the charges that were against him at present. That same season, Vernyce (I believe was her name) also had a criminal record, but because it happened in the past, she was fine.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

despite last week's performance, i think he has one of the best male voices up there. I hope he makes it.

Really Justice? I always find him totally blase'. Granted, most of his performances weren't as bad as last week's, but I still think he's usually one of the weaker performers each week. Even when he's hitting the notes, the songs seemed sapped of all emotion (to me at least).

Is it me, or does it seem like every season so far there is a "shocking" discovery about one of the contestants? personlly i think that fox knows about and leaks it, to boost ratings.

I'd tend to think you're right. Don't they have to do screenings of the contestants? Ask them if they've been arrested? Accused of domestic abuse? So I'd think Fox likely knows about it in advance and sits on it until the moment arises to toss it out there.

Dink indeed, but the world's biggest pop star is a creepy alleged pedophile, the leader of the free world is a smirky alleged dumbass, and Titanic is alledgedly the highest grossing movie of all time.

We live in a wacky world. This is just not a story.

(Though, I imagine there's a fair amount of back story here, we are in fact only seeing the one side.)

Wow... I hope your use of "HATE" is a result of a bad translation... Because I don't think an "American Idol" constestant should ever generate that kind of emotion. Unless of course, there is a "Genocidal Idol" that I've missed.

Isn't it always disappointing to find out the someone has had criminal charges filed against them?
