i was going to NOT come here for the next 3 weeks as everyone argued over who won/didn't win

Eh, it's a Broadway message boards. The Tony Awards are akin to the Superbowl. Everybody has to play Monday morning quarterback. It'll die down before the end of the week.

I am all for voicing your opinion and anger about who did and did not win. But, why start a billion (sticking with the theme here) threads about the same person not winning . . . or why the Tonys were bad . . . or why Broadway is going down the crapper because of who won. If one gets started, keep it in there. When there was 500 RENT movie threads or a gazillion Wicked threads, people who never posted complained. I am just saying.

I'm not tired of the debating and passion over the Tonys. I'm tired of the ridiculousness, negativity and nastiness. "Giving up on Broadway" because your favorite didn't win, for example.
