Underneath the article, are the "comments", the first of which I wholeheartedly agree with. When it comes to money, the Church wants it both ways. Victory for pro choice. Triple+ tragedy for the family. Anyway, why didn't the "on call" Dr. never answer the page?

Not surprising in the least. The almighty dollar always takes precedent over the almighty father.

Over the centuries, the one consistency of the Catholic Church is that it is a business first and foremost. Money has, and always will, come before people or spirituality. Morals, ethics, and humanity almost never come into play.

Why is it only the Catholic Church that is demonstrating hypocrisy? Is not the state also operating under hypocrisy? If the state declares that a fetus is a non-human, then how can it award a judgement to the family under the wrongful death act? They certainly are entitled to a judgement in their favor for the death of the mother, but THE STATE does not define a fetus as a human being. The church, via this lawsuit, is demonstrating the hypocrisy of the state. If the state wants the church to pay a judgement on the death of the twin boys, then the state must acknowledge that the twins were human.

At least the comments section gave me hope that there are people who aren't blindly following the church.
