I saw it last night and I actually really liked it. It's good like Batman Begins is good. A comic book movie that is actually believable. I also loved Robert Downey Jr.'s performance. I was impressed. I started out hating is character's guts to really caring about him in the end which made him pretty endearing. Very few can pull that off. He was perfectly convincing.

I went in with absolutely no interest because I had been dragged to go along with some friends, but I was surprised. It was a good movie.

I saw this yesterday. I am not a comic book/superhero movie fan, so my reaction is probably more negative than most. The movie held my interest even though it seemed a little long. I am not particularly fond of Robert Downey Jr. but I think he suits this part to a T. Paltrow is completely wasted - I spent more attention on her wardrobe than her character - how does she walk in those high heels? She looks like she is on pointe. The twist is obvious and telegraphed from the beginning. The technology is fun (if you can call a weapons system "fun"). I was most invested in the character of the man who *SPOILER ALERT* saves Downey in the desert, and he isn't coming back in the sequels, obviously. I've seen better, and worse, comic book movies but it is clear than this would not have stood up to summer season competition so they released it now. I am sure the sequels will have ready audiences.

I liked IRON MAN. Good rowdy fun. I liked that it didn't sink under the Rampant Self-Pity that finally drove me from sitting through any more SPIDERMAN movies, and the bogus High Moralizing of BATMAN BEGINS. It was fun to see Downey move from heartless playboy to genuinely concerned hero without gaining some aura of phony sainthood, or becoming a Dark Knight. His smart ass attitude was genuinely amusing, if maybe a bit too familiar.

I wasn't expecting CITIZEN KANE. I had a good time. If all summertime comic book movies were as good as this one, I'd go to more of them.

If you like the movie and have nothing better to do, stick around for after the credits. re: Iron Man?

Iron Man was really, really good. I'm looking forward to Iron Man 2 on April 30, 2010(they announced it earlier this past week, along with some other Marvel movies like Thor and Captain America).

The sequel will no doubt start the storyline of Stark and his alcoholism and Rhodes becoming War Machine

The only thing about the sequel that worries me is>>>

****SPOILER****

How are they gonna deal w the comicbook storyline that Pepper doesn't end up w Stark? Obviously they'll also have to enlarge Happy's part as well and I wonder how well that will balance w the AVENGER's/S.H.E.I.L.D. story line?
AH the nostalgia of a comic book geek!

I immediately broke in one of the two Regal Cinema gift cards that my boys gave me for Mother's Day (perfect gift!) to go see IRON MAN this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. (And yes, I sat through all the credits, as did the majority of the audience.)

IMO it's about as perfect as an Iron Man origin movie can get. Robert Downey Jr. owns the part. I thought everybody was really good in their roles.

My 5¢ review! lol

I saw it about a week ago and really liked it a lot. It's kind of not the best script ever, a little cheesy, but the acting is AWESOME.

Obviously RBJ was great, as always, and Jeff Bridges also, to me, was a huge stand out. That guy can just do anything.

Saw it last night at 12:15--it was very good. I didn't know to stay after the credits! Darn!

I didn't know Gwyneth Paltrow was in it. She's great--I love her!

The movie was actually pretty long. I didn't expect to be getting out of the theater at 2:30 :-/. It took a lot out of me. haha

Tony Stark kicks MAJOR ass. I could not wipe the sill smile off my face when he was flying around saving villagers and quipping with his snarky computer.

I LOVED this movie. RDJ was so funny and charming in the movie. A perfect Tony Stark.

Plus, I couldn't stop thinking about rubbing my hands all up and down his body whenever he had his shirt off. re: Iron Man? ****SPOILER****

Iron Man, more like Iron abs.
