So, I had to look them up, as I've never heard of them before. And, I must admit, there's some serious hotness going on here.
My question is, do they really mean that it only takes NINE STROKES?
If so, what a waste of (little) time and energy.
mateo, I read that as "I wanked to see more." I'm telling ya, this new monitor is taking time to adjust.
aw, thanks harris. I needed something warm like that for my throat.
DG, I think it's a golf reference. They make some pretty catchy pop-rock though.
I dunno, DG, but they ARE really hot and that song I mentioned, "Do It Again"...I mean, just look up the lyrics. Hoooooot.
you see what you want to see, baby cakes.
for those interested the album "Cafe Cuts" is their best. It's all acoustic. Superb.

Golf? So they're into smacking little white balls around with their sticks?
Count me in.
And I'd prefer a foursome, please.
I'm importing some cds into ituness and I just came to Evan & Jaron.
Talk about hotness.

Holy COW! I AM LEGEND is opening BIG!!!! THE GOLDEN COMPASS is getting buried - and quickly.
Good for Mr. Smith - he seems like a decent enough guy.
Oh, I love "Crazy For This Girl". I haven't heard that song in awhile. Good one, though.
Edit: My dad (who hasn't seen a film in a theater since the first Spider-Man because he thinks it's too pricey) and I went to go see I Am Legend last night and it was sold out. Guess it's doing well.
Will Smith dominated the multiplexes on Friday with an explosive debut for the highly anticipated sci-fi thriller I Am Legend which grossed a stunning $29.7M in its first day of release, according to estimates. The Warner Bros. event film generated the second biggest opening day ever in the month of December behind only the $34.5M Wednesday bow of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in 2003. The entire three-day weekend tally will now challenge the third Frodo pic for the record of largest December opening weekend. King collected $72.6M over the Friday-to-Sunday portion of its extended debut frame.
If Legend's Friday estimate holds, it will rank as the best opening day of 2007 for a non-sequel edging out The Simpsons Movie ($29.4M). For the weekend, the total grosses could get impacted by major snowstorms hitting the Northeast region of the country on Saturday evening, the busiest moviegoing night of the week. Still, Will Smith may find himself with an opening weekend gross of $71-76M for I Am Legend which would set a new career high for the popular superstar.
WOW!!!
Is will smith really that popular?

It's the 'per-screen average' that kills me. Smith's pic is estimated at a little over 8000 per screen, while the number 2 pic (ALVIN, if you can believe that!) is at a little under 4000. And THEN, COMPASS (at number 3,) is only at 745! That's a REALLY big discrepency!
COMPASS is going down as a MAJOR flop - and Will's price-tag just went up several notches.
Will Smith is HUGELY popular matty. He's one of the biggest stars in the world. He can do drama, action, comedy, romance, music, you name it.
Btw, did anyone ever see The Omega Man? It's the Charelton Heston version of Legend. Hilariously awful!
Just a hunch...
But are you Catholic DG?

Ohhhhhhh.
I haven't seen the film (or read the book) - not that interested, really. But I am curious about a project that some have estimated at having a 250 million dollar budget going up in smoke.
Aight, ladies and gents, I'm gonna make an attempt at sleep. See ya in six hours.
it fell 70% from last weekend. It is a MAJOR flop. There will be repurcussions at the studio. Bob Shaye, welcome to unemployment.
lackluster reviews and boycotts.

Night, Geek.
But Mateo, 'boycotts' and controversy usually sell tickets! I think this is showing a public boredom with something that is an obvious attempt to jump on the RINGS bandwagon. They went along with NARNIA - sort of - but there was NOTHING about this project to reach out beyond the meager fan base of the books.
