Another reason why I didn't like the first LOTR is because I didn't care about the characters. It seemed that Jackson wanted to show off the pretty background instead of the actors.
Well clearly you're wrong nitsy. LOTR is perfect and I won't have you disparaging it. Is that clear?
CONFESSION: I haven't seen any of the LOTR films.
Do not speak to me ever again.
*rubs taz's shoulders* Are these icky poo-heads upsetting my snookums?
*glares around*
If it's any consolation, I'd be willing to watch it... with someone. All 9 hours!
Pshaw! The 9 hour version isn't the one to see. It's the 12 hour version that is perfect.
I have seen the whole thing at least 6 times through. 72 hours of Middle earth.
We do marathons from sat eve-sun morn.
Feeling better Jaily?
Yes, much :)
You mean there's more? Well, I do need a cure for my insomnia.
how dare you SM.
Jaily, did the cab actually crash? What a crazy story.

Taz - although I enjoyed seeing the extended versions, I did feel that - as in most cases - there was a reason the scenes were cut in the first place.
But I am glad to have seen them.
yikes!
glad you're ok.
Cabs in general are scary. Except for the cash cab!
I want to get in the cash cab. The host is suprisingly charming.

Anyone want to explain the 'cash cab' to the poor, uninvolved, unknowing Californian?
I'm a californian too.

Mateo - I know you are
Perhaps I should have added 'non-compulsive-tv-watcher' to the list
But thanks for the link.
Anyway, I'm off for now. Peace to the AVs.
Wow ... you boys are up late. 3 jack & diets later, I can't decide whether I'm drunk and should crawl into bed or wired and stay up.
6:34am and I am STILL up. **Sigh**
Mornin', peeps! I'm in good voice. I need to do a great job in honor of my friend for whom I'm covering. I'm excited to do the song, but sad that she's not going to be there.
Such mixed emotions for a rainy Sunday!
*the cows in festive costumes bring cocoa to all*
*groan* So....f*cking...early...
EDIT: Okay, after reading back, here is my summary: LOTR, in either book or film form, sucks, as does Harry Potter (though I still read all of the books). I love the BOURNE films but I think Damon is better in Good Will Hunting. I loved the last Bond film but wasn't a fan of many of the others, like DG, and I didn't think that Pierce made a good Bond (Die Another Day just SUCKED). JG, I'm so sorry about your family troubles, and Jaily, I would've punched that cabbie in the face.
CONFESSION: I haven't seen any of the LOTR films.
I have to make that same confession, *gives Tazzy the pout face* my bf's slightly obsessed so I'll end up watching it sooner or later. It just never seemed all that interesting to me.
I'm off to church! Laters.
geek, you and I are gonna have to have a come to jesus sit down.
Good morning, Avs. I see I'll have to read back.
