Anybody want to buy a townhouse in South Jersey? Those b@stards backed out of the deal! Technically I suppose we were the ones who backed out, but they wanted $10,000 in escrow (plus 50% more for overruns, so $15k) on top of the $5000 we had knocked off our asking price to repair the "extensive damage" listed in the contractors estimate.
This is the contractor who never set foot in our place, mind you, and just went off the notes from the home inspector who told us everything looked ok, except for a few minor things.
Um, for 20 grand we can fix the place ourselves, repaint everything, and probably relist for more while holding down the two mortgages. Thanks, but no thanks.
All I can say is karma is a bitch and they better watch out for some random tornado tearing through the next property they buy.

Don't be too sure I'm as crooked as I'm supposed to be.

AR#1,
a while i guess. I joined about 6 weeks after you. Just read for a while before I started posting.
Did you move across the country to NY, or to CA?
What's your new job?
Jaily, what exactly would you like to discuss about Matthew?
I mean it's not like he's not around or anything.

Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you.
Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

I got to the beach for a few hours on Sunday. Otherwise, nothing to fancy. I live a very mellow life.

I worked all weekend (including Monday), spent the evenings with my ex-boyfriend from SF who was visiting that I haven't seen in four years, and went to some party with a bunch of damn weirdo alcoholics who kept molesting each other.

Of course I didn't forget...that time we spent in your hotel room, on that bed, will rank as one of the most special nights of my life
