We put jicama in the salads back in my CPK days. It's totally a filler, but people would specifically ask to have it removed. They HATED it. I think it's because they couldn't say it if they tried. The only thing they hated more than the jicama was cilantro... another totally inoffensive ingredient.
I'm at work, pretending to do work. I'd say more, but according to the details of my secrecy oath, I think Elaine Stritch would personally hunt me down with garotte wire.
