Hey everyone!
How are you all?
I was just watching "The Making of DAZED AND CONFUSED."
"That's the great thing about High School girls, you get older but they stay the same age."
Mchoughnahey (sp) is hilarious in that movie

Never seen it :/
Get thee a DVD, Rob! It's one of the best films. I have the Criterion Collection 2-disc edition. Basically, it's a raunchier '70s AMERICAN GRAFFITI.
I'm watching The Mummy 2. God only knows why.

Hahaha, Scott...
Just got back from work. Ugh. How has everybody's weekend been?
I did a quick sketch recently for a set design for Parade and I really like it and I think once I have some free time I am going to build a full model of it for my portfolio...plus there is a company that is considering it as a possibility for next year and maybe it can help me convince them to do it...with me as the designer.

"That's what I'm talking about, man."
Rory Cochrane was some funny SH*T, too.

No way!!! I'd love to see your sketch!!! Show us!
Oh SM, it's one of my favorite movies. I love it.
What extras are there on the criterion dvd? I have the single disc version.
Take pictures, Akiva!
Its a tiny rough sketch right now. I'll definitely post it on my portfolio website for all to see once I do the model of it.

I love your How To...Business and Crucible! I love how you work with perspective!!
Hah...thanks. Sometimes the people that build my sets hate me for my perspective shenanigans.
I definitely need to get some new stuff up on my portfolio though, its been too long.

I'd love to see more of your work!
lately I have been doing a lot of assistant work, so I don't have that much of my own to add, but I want to do a few projects just for portfolio purposes....like my Parade set.

Yea, definitely! Well keep it up, you're great!
My dad told me to go to graduate school for scenic design. To meld my music theatre with architecture (my mom dad and sis are architects). So then I can join their firm and we can design sets...hahaha. I love my family sometimes...
I have two older brothers. One is an architect and one is an engineer. Hah....similar skill sets. We all know AutoCad, thats for sure.

those are great designs kiva. Seriously, excellent.
Thanks. I wish time would freeze one of these days and I could just spend a month building models of all these designs for musicals I have floating around my brain. But alas the real world intervenes.
