Speaking of songs that have been featured on OC Mixes (The View is on #4), I'm listening to Patrick Park (whose "Something Pretty" is one of my favorite songs of all time, on OC Mix #1), soon to be followed by pretty much the entire discography of the New Pornographers, who were never featured on a Mix themselves, but whose member A.C. Newman is also on Mix #4. I'm making a conscious effort to listen to new music instead of playing Amy Winehouse on repeat like I usually do.

My favorite song from one of the OC mixes is Move On by Jet.
I haven't heard it in a while, but I used to be obsessed with it. I'll have to listen to that one you're talking about, scott.

I've been in sort of a rut lately just because what with getting a new computer, I've been more focused on getting all my old music back, but I'm atoning for it now.

I feel like a tasteless freak for this, but Julianne Hough, one of the pro dancers on Dancing With The Stars, is releasing a country album, and... I really like it. And I don't even like country! I'm just shocked that she can actually sing.

SH*Tty ****ty day,

My grandfather died last night and I found out literally as I was leaving the door for work today, so I had to compartmentalize all day dealing with customers and not think about it, and then I had to figure out a way to get a flight to join my family for the funeral, so I have yet to have that moment of "me" time to really deal with it in any sort of capacity. I'm sure it'll kick in when I get to bed, unless I fall instantly to sleep from exhaustion.
