That's my birthday weekend! We're seeing Q that Sunday.
Sweeney is one of my top 5 shows, but to people who don't appreciate musical theater, it can be very off-putting.

Yeah, and the whole Doyle element makes it even tougher. I tried to tell them that it was not going to be the same as the movie, but I guess they didn't believe me.

I really love Doyle's work.
I just LOVE Sweeney Todd. It will always be one of my favorites. I thought the movie was excellent too. I'm glad Tim Burton took on the project.

I dug it, too. Although, I think I liked it more with Company than I did with Sweeney. Since Company is more of a "concept" piece, anyway, I think it lends itself more easily to that whole kind of interpretation.
The Doyle Sweeney was the most visceral piece of theater I've ever seen. I liked Company as well, but it just didn't have the same integrity to me.
Yeah, it's tough to decide which one I like better. They're both so different and brilliant in their own ways. I guess I would lean towards Sweeney a little bit more...but I appreciate them both equally. Did you order the Company dvd mauri?
As much as I like Doyle, he needs to find a new gimmick already.

I did! It's my birthday present to myself. That and Kerry Butler's solo CD.

It's on my order list. There's so much I need to get, but I'll wait till when I begin getting paid as a professional actor...that is, if I'm cast.
Hey! We're the headline story on Yahoo.
The tornado we had here earlier today, that is.

Tornado? I hope everything's ok.
Well, it hit Suffolk, which is like Queens if Va Bch is Manhattan.

So, that means everything is ok by you?
I love tornados! But I've never actually experienced one, so maybe that's why.

But apparently there was a lot of injuries in Suffolk.

I'm glad you're ok, Taz.
Kas, the only Twister I like comes from Tropicana. Real tornadoes can be pretty scary.
Really?
Well, I'm glad you're okay.
Yeah, mauri, I'm sure if I was ever in one, I would be scared sh*tless. I used to want to be a tornado chaser when i was little though...for some strange reason.

Helen Hunt probably had something to do with it, Kas. I loved that movie as a kid.

I've never been through a tornado. Although there are plenty in downtown Miami. My mom's office faces the bay and she said she once saw a tornado right next to her building in the bay. It was crazy.
Never been through an earthquake either. My mom has horror stories, she watched friends die.

That's terrifying, Robs. Where did she experience these earthquakes?

Caracas, Venezuela.
Terrifying doesn't describe it! This one time she was on vacation in a hotel. And there was a huge earthquake which sent her running from and building, her friends behind her, once she was in the clear, she looked back and they were missing. The building fell on them :/
