can I ask?...........when does the parks show ever end? He has more pictures than MGM and Warners combined for heavens sake. The bandwidth alone for his photos has the silicon valley in an tizzy (is that a word?)....when does it STOP!????

I'm a little terrified right now. There have been a bunch of break-ins in my dorm, apparently by a large man who carries a knife. We're convinced that he broke in last night and tried our door handle to see if it was locked. Now, just about 20 minutes ago, someone tried the same thing again, and I ran to the door and looked under it and saw a large man I didn't recognize walking toward the exit.

I'm honestly f*cking terrified. I slept with a hammer under my pillow last night. And the school is taking forever to put deadbolts on our doors. This is getting ridiculous. I'm sleeping with the hammer again.

Well my dorm is tiny. Less than 20 people living here. The school is really small, so they don't have money to station security guards in all the dorms. The school is just not handling this situation well. One of the RAs encountered him in the building once and he pulled a knife on the RA, so we know for a fact the dude is armed. I'm freaking out. This is ridiculous.

No... they're going to review the security videos. We have a front entrance and a back entrance from the alley. He usually comes in during the day when everyone is in class, using the back door. But now this wierd stuff is happening late at night when everyone is in bed. Last night after he checked our door handle, we heard him go up the back staircase and then quickly walk all the way down the staircase and out.

Freaky stuff. I doubt he will come back again tonight though, so I'll just think happy thoughts.

Is there a way to lock the back door to the building? Is it just... left open?

And I think you and your fellow dormsman should stand in the hallways one night, all together, with weapons, waiting for him to come. And when he opens the door, everyone should scream as loud as they can and wave their weapons furiously and chase him.

And you should see if he comes back.

TheActr - first of all, thanks for the penguin love

Now, you REALLY need to follow up on this - your school owes you protection within their housing. Tomorrow, you NEED to contact those in charge of housing and see that this is addressed. There is NO reason for you to have to live in that fear - NONE.

I hope you feel secure for the night - and I seriously hope that you PRIORITIZE this issue first thing tomorrow.

Everyone in the dorm has been flipping out at the people in charge, believe me. My school is just moronic. I had my dad call a few days ago. In light of this though, I'm going to have to go tell the Dean of Students that the way they are handling this is ridiculous. The man has already stolen a bunch of laptops, cameras (including mine), and other goods.

Aaron, we have magnetic key entry locks on the outside doors, and supposedly maintenance did work to improve them within the last few days, but then if they did, why is this still happening?

Ugh. It's a mess.

Did somebody ask for more pictures of me? well there you go! I got a warning ticket tonight from Southern Methodist University police for going into the parking garage. The officer was trying SO hard to get me in trouble. It was kind of funny.

and Actr, baby--I wasn't trying to break into your room last night or tonight! I was just trying to get to be with my hubby so we could cuddle! Next time, just open up. (and I only took your camera because there were certain pictures of us I didn't want you to have...)

What kind of internship?

I auditioned for summerstock in Vermont last night. I thought I had a really good audition. It pays $200 a week, plus housing, plus Equity points. Only problem is it's from May to September... and I'm about 106% sure I don't want to be in Vermont all summer. Oh well. At least I already have a show lined up at home.
