Your bed feels so warm and yummy...

Just making sure I read that correctly.

So, I have an etiquette question:

If a friend of your roommate shows up in the city unannounced, from more than 1,000 miles away and with the unfounded expectation that he could stay in your apartment, and your roommate says OK without checking with either of the other two roommates first -- and, you already have three guests staying with you, meaning there are now seven people staying in your two bedroom apartment -- is it considered rude to tell said seventh uninvited guest, who is not paying a dime, to stay the hell out of your groceries?

It's a guy. A straight guy! Us gays are outnumbered here 4-3 now!

He stayed with us before and totally ate my pasta that I had set aside for dinner in the refrigerator.

You wanna hear about roomate stories? When I first moved in with my current roomate two years ago, a friend of his decided to leave his family and come to the city, and he pretty much asked me if his friend could stay with us AFTER he had told him that it was ok.

The friend ends up staying for a month and a half, eating my food, inviting his girlfriend to sleep over all the time (walking to the bathroom at night in my boxers and hearing them having sex on ym couch a few feet away was fantastic...), and best of all, his girlfriend ended up finding out she was pregnant on my toilet! OOPS!

And then this summer things got really akward because I was getting really close with my roomate's ex-wife's roomate...that was a fun period in my life. And then there is a the dog that I finally let my roomate get becuase he was spamming my email with links to adoption agencies.

My roommate has been bring this bitchy girl home every night, who blatantly makes fu of my other roommate in front of his face and makes homophobic comments in front of me, and has sex with her in his bed five feet away from me. Awesome.

Take pics, sell them. That'll show them.

I've been moving crap in the rain all day. Ugh. Drinking coffee and warming up before round 2 of moving stuff...then Josh Groban tonight.

My best friend and I decided we're getting those mini-wine bottles, and drinking in the parking lot before we go in. I hope he doesn't sing "Raise Me Up". If all of the audience sways their hands in the air like we're in a prayer service...I'll be hurling.

The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

I like "You Raise Me Up." lol. I was really excited when he sang Simon and Garfunkel's "America" as his encore.

What would you rather do? Listen to You Raise Me Up, or deal with the rioting soccer moms if he doesnt' sing it?

re: Is That You In Your Avatar? Part 3!

You raise me up is an Irish song, isn't it?

Have you ever heard it played back to back with 'Danny Boy'? They're extremely similar, and it's not a co-incidence.

Wha-do-ya know?

Wikipedia:

The song, which is very similar in melody to the traditional Irish folk music song "Danny Boy"--if not a liberal "borrowing" from the melody of "Wind Beneath My Wings"--was originally written as an instrumental piece and entitled "Silent Story". Løvland approached Irish novelist and songwriter Graham to write the lyrics to his melody after reading Graham's epic first novel - The Whitest Flower (Harper Collins). It was originally released on the 2001 Secret Garden album Once in a Red Moon, with the vocals sung by Irish singer Brian Kennedy, and sold well in both Ireland and Norway. The song was used for commemorations of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the USA even though it had not been released in America at that time.

I think it would be strangely satidfying to see Sushi Sam undressing from his leprechaun get-up.

I have issues.
