Good morning all!
Morning DJ.
How are you today?
Good morning, Avs.
DJ, have you spoken to the musical director yet?
*the cows refill everyones lemonade*
Ugh, I am so unbelievably sick. My sinuses have set up a full-on revolt against me, and my throat feels like I gargled with battery acid.
Ugh ugh ugh. And I have a SH*T TON of clients to deal with today.
Sorry it took so long to answer DJ, I was on the way to work.
I'm fine, how are you?
Hey there Deet! Good morning. I have another incredibly busy day.
I have to finish all the accounts for next week this week as I'm gonna be out the second half on next week. :-P
*Waves* *Hugs Tazzy* *Pokes Jaily* *steals lemonade from Harris' cows.* *Tackles Spidey*
*coughs all over the place* OW!!
Deet--No, not yet. She is on a business trip this week, but I might talk to her when she gets back. I don't like where this show is going. I know Marcellous is supposed to be a funny guy, but the director wants to turn him into a cartoon character with HUGE, unrealistic expressions and vocal dynamics. I am trying to keep him grounded and more like a real person, but every time I do something, he is like, "I want to see more. Make it bigger." I am already tired of this show.
Taz--I am doing okay. Bored as usual, but okay.
Jaily--**Passes Advil cold and sinus** Hope you start feeling better.
Soapy--Ooomph!
*gives Jaily a big hug*
poor baby. Is there no way you can stay home? I mean, you're not really supposed to do walk-throughs anyway are you?
At the very least, try to give whatever you have to your ****y boss if it's contagious.
*smiles evily*
god, I WISH I could stay home. That would be divine. I suppose I COULD call in sick, but I'd rather go in, be miserable, and then be able to pull the "Hey, I even came in when I was really sick because I am SUCH a dedicated employee" card later
Jaily, give Dorothy a big, wet, sloppy, germy kiss. Hell, give her two, just to be sure.
DJ, what a dilemma. It seems that the director wants to recreate the film's portrayal of Marcellus. It's a tough situation to be in - on the one hand you want to find the role yourself, but on the other hand the director has a vision that is at odds with your interpretation and needs you to work within the scope of that vision. Either way you go it's a slippery slope, and I don't envy you your position right now - I've been in shows where I have not trusted the director, and since this director has already caved in to the star on a minor issue, his/her integrity is already suspect. It's hell.
No matter how much you hate it, you have to cede to the director's vision. He's the boss.

Good morning!
Aw, poor Jaily. Was it last nights singing that made you sick?
How's everybody else holding up?
The boards are alive with vitrol this morning! Good times.
I love watching Namo and HD go at it.
Good morning my loves!!
Morning, Tink!
I was afraid maybe I smelled or something. It's about time!!!
Morning D2!!!
You, Tink? Never!
Taz is right - the vitriol is spewing this morning. It's mesmerizing.
*heads back to the ann coulter thread*
I have my big job interview in a few hours!
Akiva
I was participating in one of those threads yesterday, until a particularaly nasty comment was made toward me. I decided to just walk away rather than argue.
But the hypocrisy on dislplay is, as Deet so wonderfully put it,
"mesmerizing".
Good Luck Akiva!!! OMG I am sending such positive vibes your way right now!!
Do I need to beat anyone up tazzy?
