Yes, I did have a good time. Last night I bought dinner for 9 people. Very expensive, but it was worth it. Everyone enjoyed it, and afterward we strolled up and down the strip and had ice cream for dessert.

Duermes - You sleep
Duerme - S/he sleeps; You sleep if using "usted"
Dormimos - We sleep
Dormis - Not familiar with this one; but "dormí" means "I slept"
Duermen - They sleep

otherwise, i am working on my spanish while holding a sleeping baby on my lap and drinking coffee. you know, the typical multi-tasking of well apparently only me, but i digress.

i have to say though, conjugating morir (to die) is rather disturbing

Why? I think conjugating is one of the easiest things to do in Spanish. Let's see:

I couldn't write in Spanish, though. My essays and such were awful. I dunno why I couldn't put words together.

hence Dia de los muertos= day of the dead
it should be muero, mueres, muere, morimos, mueren

"Mentir" means "to lie" as in "to tell a falsehood." It doesn't have a double meaning as in English. "To lie down" as in "to recline" you would use "acostar" or "recostar." However, "acostar" is most often used when you're going to go to bed/sleep and "recostar" is just to rest.
