You really were taz. I wish I would have had some sort of guidance like that, but I pretty much had to figure it out on my own. I'm actually pretty proud of myself for coping so well. I still can't believe I had the courage to actually come out.
Cat got your tongue, taz?
I came out gradually. Dropping hints here and there. I was out to the rest of the world before I officially told my family, and even then it was in passing. By then, they were familiar with my sexploits, but they figured I was at least bi.
"It was not a good experience which I think had more to do with her than the actual sex. "
Taz: Did you get chlamydia from her?...story of my life...

No really, Deet! Quality family entertainment!
I hated the book, Jay. Refused to see the movie.
¡Buenos días!
You never read the book, jaystarr? It was fifth grade required reading at my school. There's also a film version from the '80s starring Annette O'Toole.
Believe it or not, DGG, I wasn't being sarcastic that time - I really do admire your sense of humor.
I've never read or seen THE BRIDGE TO TEREBITHIA. We had to read THE BRIDGE OF SAN LUIS REY - bored me to tears in high school.
TERABITHIA (correct spelling) was after your time, Deet. Never heard of your book.
The worst book (in retrospect) we had to read was THE PINBALLS. Horrid and terribly written. I'm not kidding, the first sentence is: "One summer two boys and a girl went to a foster home to live together." I can't believe it won the Newbery Medal.

"My" book is a classic of its kind, Stagey, and has been filmed twice.

Oh. Thanks Deet!
I still love PRIDE & PREJUDICE...give me Mr.Darcy any day! I hate crying, so TERABITHIA was awful.
DGG, did you also have to read THE GREAT GILLY HOPKINS? I believe it's the same author.
Unfortunately.. I have not read the book
The movie was slow, but kinda reminds me of "El Laberinto de Fauno" by Guillermo del Toro (one of my favorite director from Mexico) - which we have to see without English subtitles and write a paper for our Spanish Intermediate Class at Harvard Extension . Of course .. "Pan's Labyrith is more darker and realistic in a sense that it dealt with the Spanish War that tore the country in the early 20th century . I love foreign movies actually--specially Spanish & Argentinian movies. Somehow this country has not been making realistic movie anymore! I guess we need movie musicals to escape
BTW- I love Pride & Prejudice and Sense Sensibility- I am not really into Brits literature that much though.. luv my Spanish

Morning AVS !!! Hope everyone is well today.
¿Hablas español, jay?
Morning, Jay, Morning, Boobs.
I love Jane Austen; my favorite is PERSUASION.
Never read a Jane Austen book, or many of the classics. My preferred genre is non-fiction.
Like CLIFFORD CLAVEN'S GUIDE TO PERFECT TEETH?
I'm not even going to dignify that with a witty retort ('cause I can't think of one).

Nope. I never had to read Pride & Prejudice, it's just one of my favorites. I read for fun.
Well, our car died, so I'm leaving now (45 min. early) to walk to work. Have a lovely day, all!
