**graces the room with her presence, limping**
Hello! GYPSY was amazing. Never having seen the show or Patti before, wow, I was just blown away. Several celebs in the audience (Girly, can fill you in on her experience with the "cackler".) I almost ran over Donna Murphy on the stair case.
We all went to this little cafe right by the theater. We were all joking around when Patti LuPone comes walking through the door and stands by our table, waiting for hers. Like a scene out of a freakin movie! She goes and eats, while we obviously gawk, and then when she was leaving we all clapped lightly and she turned and mouthed the words "thank you". It was unbelievable.
Everyone I met last night was BEYOND lovely. Such a great group of people!
Shoot. I am sorry I didn't go now. Who all was there with you and what other stars did you see?
hi dears i finished about 20 minutes ago. ivan you'll love it
good god polly. how did you finish it so fast? i've been reading it since like 2 and i'm only on like page 200
Hey, gang! Off in a bit to celebrate Family Day and my mom's (see, bdwaygirl?) birthday.
Cool Patti sighting, Tink! From what I've recently heard, there are less of her than Big Foot and Nessie combined.
Deet, wishing you luck on your "comedic" play!
polly & middi, get a life, you two!
It was quite unbelievable stageys!
A couple came in and sat next to our table with the new Harry Potter book last night. Girly kept trying to have me steal it!!!
oh honey i read so extremely fast when I am interested in something. if only my textbooks were as interesting as HP
I'm a pretty fast reader, but it takes me forever to finish one book 'cause I'm wont to read 3 or 4 at a time. After a couple of chapters, I put the book down, have a break, return, move on to another, and so forth, until I eventually come back to the first one. I have a short attention span, I guess. (I'm the same way with movies.) I wonder (but not really) how long it would take me to read the HARRY POTTER series?
"The Cackler"! That was the best!
Tink, why were you limping down Broadway?!
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
Puppies are babies in fur coats.
Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
'Cause she's lame like that.
I'm back!!! How dare you guys start a new thread and work 27 pages in without me! For shame!
The reading went really, really well - it was great to hear the show finally and it got all the big belly laughs I was hoping it would get. It moves much faster than I anticipated, and the feedback was terrific.
Yay D2!!!!
Girly - I wasn't limping down broadway, but I was limping this morning. My feet were not happy with the amount of walking we did yesterday and my shoe choices, lol.
So what did I do today?? Go walk around a park, lol!
*reads back to figure out what Deets is talking about.*
So, I fell asleep with my keys in my hand at 10:50 last night, so alas I do not have my Harry Potter and everywhere is sold out.
Kudos, D2!
Am I the only one on the planet who doesn't give a rat's ass about HARRY POTTER?
No - D2'sJ2 doesn't care about it either.
I don't really, stagey. I finally watched the first two movies a few weeks ago. I liked them, but I'm not obsessed.
Am I the only one on the planet who doesn't give a rat's ass about HARRY POTTER?
Pretty much. I'm convinced I'm the only on on these boards who could care less about Lupone in Gypsy.
Well, this was just a quick in and out tonight. I'm exhausted and I'm going to sleep soon. Night all!
No, you're not, soapy. And it's "who couldn't care less about."
Goodnight, Deeters.
Speaking of HP, I've been gone all day, so I need to go read! I could've started when I got home in the wee hours of the morning, if a certain someone *coughTinkcough* had done as instructed.

Puppies are babies in fur coats.
Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
sorry! **goes and mopes in corner**
I'm not a big HP fan either. And for those of you who PMd me for the spoiler, my sources were wrong.
**tazzy hugs**
