I am always in need for new shoes even though I have about 100 pair.

so simple and yet so beautiful. I love Bernie Taupin.

What a great tune.
so true BB. I don't think there is one song of his that I dislike.
Mateo,
My nephew's first words were "nipple" and if I'd say "dude" he'd say "sweet" and visa versa. Really he had no chance with uncles like me and my bro.
Also he was really into Nemo as a baby so we'd do the whole "fin, noggin', duuude" routine (actions and all), which was made all the more adorable since he sounded EXACTLY like Squirt, the baby turtle.

Taupin & John have to rank right up there with the great duos of song writing. Jagger & Richards nad McCartney & Lennon.
I heart Elton John. I didn't really start listening to him until 9th grade.
I'm listenin' to my Ella. The only time I can listen to Louie Armstrong is during his duets with her.
Do you have their Porgy and Bess soapy? One of the best albums in the history of recorded music.
My high school speech and theatre teacher gave me Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on CD for my 15th birthday.

Captain Fantastic has to be my favorite Elton CD.
Tazzy, I don't, but it's always one of the first CD's people suggest for me to get.
While I love most of Elton and Bernie, they hit a stinker with Lestat.
But we're not going there.
soapy, I don't know what to say. It's one of those cds you get and say to yourself "how did i ever live without this?".
They've hit a few stinkers, I'd say. But when they are great, it makes up for it. I prefer to forget that Lestat ever existed. I mean, if Anne Rice can claim her books really had nothing to do with vampires and dark forces, I can pretend all I want.
I love the older Elton and Bernie stuff when it was a bit more ... drug-induced. There was a really wild sense of the psychadelic in their material that made them very exciting to me.
They wrote lestat
They sure did.
