I liked the Vampire Chronicles for the most part. I liked Interview the best, I think. She had another series about the Mayfair witches. The three books in that series were The Witching Hour, Lasher and Taltos. That series was my favorite. It takes place mostly in the garden district of New Orleans and has lots of interesting history. One of the last books she wrote before finding Christ and starting to write about him was Merrick. That book brought the vampires and witches together. That book was my favorite overall, but I think you need to be familiar with The Mayfair series and at least Interview to get it.
Of course, now Anne tries to explain her books as having little to do with vampires and more to do with a representation of history. Seemed like homoerotic vampire smut to me.
I am not sure how Anne would explain away her Sleeping Beauty series, because that is just hardcore erotica that was too much for ME to handle.
Well, that was a close call! But Pats win it 38-35, making us the first NFL team to finish a regular season undefeated (16-0). Geek, eat your bitter heart out! Next stop: The Super Bowl!
Oh Thank God! I was so worried there for a second.
Woo Hoo!!!!! Congrats to the Pats.
My Prediction 2007 World Series Champs: Redsox (check)
07/08 Super Bowl Champs: Patriots
07/08 NBA Champs: Celtics
Can you believe I kept my fingers crossed the last two hours? That's why I didn't post. Or rather, couldn't.
I really enjoyed The Witching Hour, but I really didn't like the ending.
I need to get the other two.
Hey, as crushed as I may be, we had your boys freakin scared tonight!!!!
I know it, Tinkles. I was dreading a less. Mostly because I would have then had to swallow my pride. And I don't swallow. At least not that. Good game, though.
As much as I am pissed over our stupid mistakes, Giants fans have nothing to be ashamed of. I think we are the only team to have had you guys that scared, and yet we were predicted to be the least likely too. Congrats to the Pats though, they earned it.
I was getting scared in the 3rd quarter when the Pats were down by I think 11, but then I remember the Ravens games and I thought we could make a comeback. The Giants did play a tough game with the Pats. They should not be ashamed at all.
Just when people thought Pats games were getting stale and predictable and tonight it could've gone either way.
I think The Witching Hour was the best of the three. I loved the history of the family. She could have filled a whole book about Stella Mayfair.
I am so glad the Pats will be playing there playoffs games at home , because anything can happen when you play a top team on the road.
Go Pats-Hoist The Lombardi Trophy
can we please keep all sports on hetero-designated threads.
thank you-
the management
**shoots taz a dirty look**
Really, I mean, if the lesbians aren't even talking sports...
Except for Tink. B/c she's my master.
taz, how presumptuous of you to assume that sports are only a hetero's pastime.
Furthermore, I think it was only fitting that Brady beat Peyton Manning's record, while his brother Eli looked on.
"I think it was only fitting that Brady beat Peyton Manning's record, while his brother Eli looked on."
Change some of the wording, and that could be a hot.
THEN I'd watch.
oh Tom Brady plays this sport? I grant you all a pass then as long as his tight end is discussed as well.
LOL@mateo!
Are you kidding, taz? Tom Brady is the Pats' star quarterback. He's our regional hero.
Why would I be kidding? I don't live in New England.
No , the tight end is Kyle Brady
You don't have to live in New England. He's a celeb in his own right. He's even dating a supermodel (Leo's ex, in fact).
I live in Old Mexico, and we don't care.
