Bye, DGG!
Leviticus, Chapter 11
1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
2
"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: Of all land animals these are the ones
you may eat:
3
any animal that has hoofs you may eat, provided it is cloven-footed and chews
the cud.
4
But you shall not eat any of the following that only chew the cud or only have
hoofs: the camel, which indeed chews the cud, but does not have hoofs and is
therefore unclean for you;
5
2 the rock badger, which indeed chews the cud, but does not have hoofs and is
therefore unclean for you;
6
the hare, which indeed chews the cud, but does not have hoofs and is therefore
unclean for you; and the pig ,
7
which does indeed have hoofs and is cloven-footed, but does not chew the cud
and is therefore unclean for you.
8
Their flesh you shall not eat, and their dead bodies you shall not touch; they
are unclean for you.

oooh... is this thread now unkosher?
I'll try not to eat it.
Akiva
darlin it was "trafe", as they say, a LOOOONG time ago.
It's still said.
Akiva
Akiva, do you live in Toronto?
Yup.
Akiva
lucky beast.
My friend Jeff was the Campus Rabbi at Hillel of Greater Toronto from 2004-2005. Did you go to school in Toronto?
I love those trolls over on the Sweeney Todd message board:
"What is so particularly frustrating is that Sweeney Todd is such a good idea for a film and musical, but ONLY a good idea. There's so much more that could have been done with it, and I'm almost confounded about who in this equation deserves the brunt of the blame. The only thing that's certain is that somewhere in between Stephen Sondheim's imagination and Tim Burton's good intentions something went horribly awry. The songs, with one or two exceptions, were quite stupid (Sondheim's fault). The acting, considering who was in it, was somewhat lackluster. And the overall look of the film (cinematography, set design, etc.) just seemed rehashed and exhausted."
I did, but I didn't really do Hillel. But I know who he is. because a lot of my friends did.
Akiva
Oh, cool.
Austin, that's not really a troll, just someone who didn't like the movie.
A troll would just say, "This movie sucks"
He's just one of those smart eloquent trolls!
I was referring to the thread being trafe a long time ago Akiva, not the saying of the word.
I went back and put in commas.
Is there such a thing?
As an eloquent troll?
Yes.
why if someone doesn't agree with you are they a troll?
That's not why he's a troll.
I don't know why he's a troll.
Perhaps I used a bad example.
