Each year we have a themed food Christmas. This year it is Italian. We will be having Vegetable Lasagna & Beef Lasanga and Sweet & Hot Italian Sausages. And for dessert we will be having Italian cookies and Canoli's.

My family is from southern Italy so on Christmas Eve we do the seven fishes. Huge family, a bunch of different kinds of pasta and seafood. It's always fantastic, but not as great as Easter with the frittata and Easter bread. I love being Italian.

on Christmas Day we always do ham. Dunno why. I never understood doing turkey for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

All this talk of fine foods is making me hungry.

I remember lasts years Christmas. It was a Norwegian Christmas. The food consisted of a lot of Fish and different types of cheeses. I love fish so it was a delight. Some of the fish was quite strong as I remember.

I just can't do the brie thing. I don't know what it is about brie that just is not appealing to me.

This year I will be able to consume the wine that is at my parents party. I will be 21. :) My parents are strict Catholics and would just die if they know that I really have my first taste of wine or alcohol at 16.

We're catholic, and I'm pretty sure my parents just wouldn't care.

Although they have nothing to worry about. I don't even like the smell of alcohol. I don't want to ingest it. Foul stuff.

Geek, Charlie Wilson's War looks so interesting. I'd love to see it (after I see Sweeney, which I have yet to see still!).

Any my parents seem to care less about alcohol. Occasionally, I'll be allowed to have some, but not normally.

turkey is traditional in the UK but we usually have beef because it seems daft that no one in my family really enjoys turkey lol. We put up with it for years... i always want duck but never win

*raises hand* Born Catholic here, though i'm disinclined to associate myself with it anymore. My family is insanely strict, but they're all alcoholics, which I find pretty ironic.

Yep, linnie, my ex is the geek that started it all. He even bought me a T-shirt for our first Valentine's Day together that said "I <3 My Geek". It's on thinkgeek.com, I believe.
