Ha, Deet! I knew you'd say that.
Hair! Hair! Hair hair hair! Hair! Hair! Haiiiir!
I think I'm seeing it again next weekend. This week is our big work conference, plus Tony nom week... plus finals week at school. Fierce.

I wasn't suprised by the tony nods... although from what i had read i expected Megan Hilty to get one. Having not seen the show i can't comment but i heard she was pretty good. Ah well... i'm really feeling Spring Awakening today!

Anyone upset at the staggering disappointment for [title of show]? I'm glad for Hunter and everything. But it's like the Tony People looked at the little show that could and said, "Uhh, no you can't." Very sad.

I expected a little more support for [tos], but I'm not that surprised. It was well-reviewed, and much-loved within the theater community, but it was a total financial flop that closed seven months ago.
What surprised me were the actress in a play noms. I enjoyed all the performances nominated in that category, but in a season absolutely crammed with phenomenal female performances, to fill all but one slot with just two shows? To me, that's a little odd.
I'm finally seeing Billy Elliot tonight! Ahhh!

No fair, Sam. I have to wait 17 days!
School's out. Let the partying commence.
I was most disappointed that 13 didn't get a best score nomination.
Hey Y'all!
How is everyone! Into the Woods is done, which means I have some of my life back and can actually check the boards! woot woot.

Can you post pix of the production/sets?
I'm finished with school for the year, and I just found out I got an interview to maybe be on Jeopardy (aka my life's highest goal)! Yay for me!
I love JEOPARDY! It's my fave game show. I used to watch it all the time when I had a TV. I won sometimes, too.
ETA: I just realized how pathetic that sounded.
Hahah no, I'm obsessed with it. I don't manage to watch every day, but I miss no more than two shows a week.
Thats amazing! My dad was a QUESTION on Jeopardy! And that was HIS life goal.
As far as pictures of my set goes, its the sort of set that doesn't really translate to photos because its more about the way it moved and the transitions and all the cool little tricks it kept doing throughout the show.
The show opened with a big book sitting at the centre of a giant library/study space and the narrator, as a little girl opening it and reading "Once Upon A Time..." and the characters start to come to life around her. Once the song "Into the Woods" really started going, the giant grandfather clocks starting zooming around the space and became all sorts of different formations. There is alst a giant clock tower at the centre of it all, which opens up for Rapunzel and some other moments.
In Act 2, the set is very different in that when the giant first crashes down all the grandfather clocks topple over domino style...until the giant is killed and they magically zoom back up when order is somewhat restored. Anyways...the pictures don't really do the show and lighting justice, but once I have some time I'll redo the model so you can get an idea of the space configurations that happened.

Those are amazing Akiva!
Interesting set.
Who's the-guy-in-the-clock-who-looks-like-Johnny-Depp-in-BENNY-&-JOON supposed to be? The Narrator?

Those look great, Akiva!
He's supposed to be Johnny Depp in Benny And Joon.
Its a she and yes thats the narrator, hah. The costumes were a meld of Victorian with some a bit of modern thrown in.

That looks like a gorgeous production, Akiva - congrats!
Deet, I saw what that sock replies to your post on the main board this morning. I don't think I've ever seen anyone be nasty to you before.
You mean on the Mel VS Dolly thread? I thought it was kinda funny, actually.
And I loved Stagey's comeback to my comeback!
