Anyway, my boss said my new coat looked "super cute" on me. She's convinced the reason I can get away with Forever 21 clothes and she can't (and she's 10 years younger than I and not bad looking herself!) is because my short hair "classes things up." Ha!

Hey, Erika. Our friends from Bonsall are still up here in San Marino, so we're not sure how things are down by the Welk. Their house is against the backside of Pendleton, so they were kind of getting trapped between converging blazes. Here, the wind has stopped, but the smoke is laying pretty thick on the mountain above us - it's coming from Arrowhead.

I've got a fair amount of clean-up to do here - branches and leaves are everywhere, and all covered with ash (you can imagine the pool ) But, I'm certainly not going to complain, as at least it's all still here to be cleaned. I cannot believe how many residences have been lost.

DG: Thanks! Actually, those are promo shots (not usable as headshots, but I wanted to try to get some pics I could use for flyers, websites, etc.), but I like them a lot, too.

It's annoying that headshots have to be so dull. :-P

We'll see what my agents say. So far, they don't seem overwhelmed. But you know what? I'm not shooting any more for at least a year. So there.
