Deet, I am so sorry. My prayers are with you and yours.
Sorry you guys were so bored all weekend. I had a total geekfest and watched ALL 12 hours of LOTR on Jason's super amazing home theatre system.
My freind came over and watched with me. He's getting married soon and this was kinda like our last quality time together.
I'm a little sad about it. I mean I'm psyched he's getting married, but I'll miss our guy time.

Ah, the battle cry of Seis de Mayo...
taz - for the sake of your friend's marriage, keep the guy time going. Ok, maybe it will have to be a little more scheduled and less spontaneous, but it's much healthier in the long run if spouses have their own interests outside the marriage. It gives them time to miss each other and something new to talk about. Of course, if your usual activity is helping him pick up girls, ignore my advice.

I liked LOTR in the cinema, but I don't think I could stick it for a whole day.
So, here's my tack; today's a Sunday on a bank Holiday weekend, so I thought I should try on some new clothes. My aunt bought me some new stuff in New York last week, so they won first spot. Well, I had asked her to look for Calvin Klein and Quiksilver stuff only. But no, she couldn't. She bought me all Tommy Hilfiger stuff, it's way too big, and it's the most American I've ever felt. Like, cheesy, cliched american. I look like Chandler from the early episodes of Freinds.
And I'm surfing the net, trying to figure out if I can get 'Queer as Folk' on DVD, in PAL2, not 1, without my folks knowing. And the answer is no. I discovered it on wikipedia a while back and I have an unhealthy interest in finding out more.

I have no idea how I am going to make it through the symphony concert I'm playing in in three hours.
