Posted: 5/9/07 at 2:02pmHey, boobs! I got a funny doctor anecdote for ya. When I was a kid, I went to my new pediatrician for a routine physical exam. When it came time to check my temperature, she took out a contraption I hadn't seen before. I enquired about it and she said she was going to put it in my ear. But the way she slurred her words it sounded like "I'm gonna put this in your rear." I'd heard of babies getting a rectal temperature, but this was too weird -- even for me. Thus, I refused. She seemed puzzled for a moment, until I explained my reservations. Needless to say, she burst out laughing. Of course, nowadays anything goes with me.
