Wait a minute -- there's a bitch on this board that's not me??
JAG - I suffer major headaches all the time especially around finals...you have my sympathy, but I really have no advice except massive amounts of Advil and caffeine...preferably coffee in order to limit the amount of sugar.
Da wee lass in pic just co-opted me to watch Jump In (again). Heaven help me.
But since it's her only night off all week from gym I will cave in. See whoever still standing much later tonight.
I love everybody's avs.
Good night.
Wooo, go Rathy!
I decided to change my avatar yet again and I think I found a good one this time.
The main reason why I like it so much is because of the expression on Alan's face. It sort of looks like he's thinking of something naughty and having an inward giggle about it.
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
Damn, am I the last one to sign off? Ah, I suppose that's what happens when one is an insomniac. Good night or good morning whichever applies better.
Rath...break a leg kiddo..
PM... Alan = concupiscence. The avatar suits the name accurately: Alan is Perfectly Marvelous.
Seriously, I mourned for days when he got married...I have this very rigid moral code that absolutely forbids lust towards married people.
I'm watching Flip This/That House on TLC. I know it's one of 'em, but not sure which one. It's the one with Ginger and the guy with a pig nose.
I like Ginger. She makes me laugh.
And I'm writing. It's a new idea, but I'm not sure what it's going to be. If anything.
I love those shows...but I have these strict rules in my house...1 TV -- 1 computer with high speed [my one luxury] so one has to choose between them and never simultaneously. Absolutely no video games...and they are not on the same floor of the condo *L*.
What sort of writing? I've never been brave enough to write fiction....oh wait that's a lie-- I once wrote a screenplay in about 30 hours or so...just to try it...was redundant crap but I was just attempting if to see I could write something out of my imagination beginning to end. I did, I sure I will try it again someday...it was actually kind of fun.
I have two screenplays in the works. Congrats on yours! It's always great finishing. How many pages was it?
I've got 100 pages written on one... and it's taken me a year to get that far. The other script is still in outline form.
The thing I started tonight might be a play. I dunno. I only have the setting nad two names: A bedroom, Adam and Clare.
What was your screenplay about?
Oh and about the screenplay, total self indulgent crap about mildly attractive single mother of three going through a divorce and hooking up with her lady lawyer [which did not actually happen in real life]...a bit too autobiographical.
I actually feel that adapting something would work out better for me. Andrew Greeley has given me permission to mess around with any of his novels and see what I can come up with.
Who is Andrew Greeley?
That's awesome that you got permission though. I assume it was free?
If I ever adapted anything, it would probably be A Density of Souls by Christopher Rice. To quote Miss Saigon, it plays out like a movie in my mind.

So I figured it out. It's been done before, but I think that's okayf or a first script. Adam and Carla have a fling. She gets pregnant. They plan on marriage, but she miscarries. Or maybe aborts and just tells him she miscarries.
I dunno.
Now I'm watching Digging for the Truth, with the cutie Josh Bernstein. I love this guy!
