HA! I'm on the nominating committee :)
Is that how D'amboise got nominated?
Thanks Rath -- I will...please offer sacrifices, cross fingers, pray or whatever floats your boat --- this one I really, really want! Loads of autonomy...not tied to one campaign which could be over in less than a year -- therefore will have security through Dec 2009. Plus if we get luck and knock out one incumbent my clout goes way up.
Alas, truly pathetic money, but then thats the way it is in my line of work.
F*uck, f*ck, f*ck.
We had a pre-interview today, but we also had to set up another more extended one for tomorrow. So far, so good. This job is so mine. We already have one candidate raising LOTS of money one of the 4 'un-targeted' districts and I am chomping at the bit to recruit a candidate in a district that has been unchallenged the past two terms -- of course my biggest headache will be strong arming the same 5 Democrats from running in CD2 and spending all their damn money and attacks in the primaries and then losing to Franks -- who is by far the most vulnerable candidate in the Arizona delegation because he is so extremely right. Contrary to popular opinion Arizona is nowhere as ass backwards as Kos always says we are...the problem this year was a free-for-all in the primary that left the former high school band teacher, with absolutely no political experience standing and of course because the Party just thinks its un-winnable to begin with because it is an overwhelming GOP district in 2006 they had a 38% to 27% registration advantage. Okay...I will give them that it looks very bad-- on paper. That is, until you factor in two vital pieces of information (a) Arizona has the HIGHEST number of registered independents in the country. (b) we are also one of the highest efficacy states. In 2004 the national turnout was 61% ...Arizona was 75%. It seriously pisses me off that the "establishment" keeps writing off what they deem unfit for time and money.
Sorry for the rant. Thanks for reading. Back out for awhile...running more errands.

Well, back from the big concert. It was a pain, my piece went horribly as far as I'm concerned. The ensemble pieces were alright. Not sure how many reeds I broke and cracked while over-doing it jamming backstage afterwards. A little crazy playing relieves stress, you know?
Rehearsal 7.30am tomorrow for my next concert, this Sunday. It clashes with a masterclass I have this weekend. Not good.
Fifteen year olds aren't supposed to be this busy.
And now D2 will tell me to go to bed, I suppose. Damn adopted fathers.
