Yeah, i would like to see Kerry Butler get a tony one day but i was chuffed that she at least got some recognition this year. What was the numbert performed from Gypsy on the awards show?

Everything's Coming Up Roses. And it earned a standing ovation from everyone at Radio City. Gave me goosebumps.

Mauri, EVERYTHING'S COMING UP ROSES most emphatically did NOT earn a standing ovation from everyone at RCMH last night. I was there last night, and not even a quarter of the house stood. Most of the people standing were down front, in full view of the cameras.

I did not watch the Tonys last night - well, I did, but I only managed to catch Patti LuPone's win and speech for Gypsy. I would have gone to a Tonys party but I was in desparate need of a nap and then took my dad out for dinner.

Frankly, Kelli O'Hara's "A Wonderful Guy" rendition won me over and moved me more than Patti LuPone's belting in "Everything's Coming Up Roses." But that's just me. I would've been one of the 75% NOT standing.

The best thing about the Tonys (for me, anyway) was Whoopi. Otherwise, predictable and boring. I didn't even watch the last half hour. I was too concerned with the Celtics/Lakers game. Ugh! We were this close to winning it all. But Celtics still lead the series 3-2.
