I always look forward to Christmas. It's my favorite day of the year. I was raised in a house with three trees, so it's a pretty serious event in my family. I actually have to go home four days early just to help set everything up. It's crazy.
Are you doing anything special this year?
Nothing special, we're gonna do the same thing we always do in terms of who to see when etc.

That's always nice too. I'm actually starting to look forward to New Year's. I'm having a party, and that's always fun.
New Years I always go to someone else's party. If I'm not invited to one I just stay home. Too crazy outside.

It can get pretty crazy on the inside too. Although, really, all we do is get drunk and sing show tunes.
That sounds like fun.
You should see me do "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going"!
I promise you've never seen anything quite like it.
Film yourself and post it on YouTube. :-P
As for me, my family's celebrating X-mas on the 26th. :-/

I bet. I'll look forward to a rousing rendition if we ever meet in real life.
But on that note, I've got to go. The Hub has declared it bedtime. G'Night.
why the 26th?
We miscalculated.
I see
It's a joke.
The truth is, most everyone will be with their respective spouse's/partner's families on X-mas (except we lucky ones who remain single), so Friday is when the family can be together.

I'm excited for New Year's because a. we're throwing an impossibly fabulous party in our swanky new apartment and b. January 2nd I'm seeing LIZA.

I see you've given yourself a day off to recover. Good thinking.

Well, the sugar daddy who got me tickets (read: my roommate) could only get them from his sugar daddy (read: his sugar daddy) on the 2nd, but yes, recovery time is a definite plus.

scott, you're gayer than a Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper!

Trapper keeper? I'm more of a catch-and-release kind of guy.
What did you miss most about America, scott?

Skim milk, Mexican food, unlimited texting, and even the slightest amount of importance being placed on customer service. Also, good fried chicken. And the cheeseburgers at The Spotted Pig. So... yeah. Food.
On a scale of one to ten, how much overall would you say you enjoyed the experience of a semester abroad.
One thing you missed aboug America is the Mexican food?!?

Stagey, that was a euphemism. A Mexican's "food." Named Juan Carlos.
Taz, I'd say... an eight? Eight and a half? If I a. hadn't had to have seven stitches in my lip due to a piggyback ride disaster, b. got laid more often in Prague, and c. remembered that one night in Amsterdam a little bit better, it'd be a 9.5-10, though.
Yeah, nice cover.
well, I'm glad that it was a good time then.
Oh! A funny coincidence I wanted to mention: the number of reported STD's went down by 4.6% since last September.

Lucky bitch.
(I say that with love.)
Thought I'd stop in and share an excerpt from an actual conversation I had with my mother today:
Mom (while looking up tickets for Broadway shows, in the computer room): IS SPEED-THE-PLOW A MUSICAL?
Me (in the next room): ..... are you kidding me?! It's DAVID MAMET!
Mom: Oh, so it's definitely not a musical.
